Time between ordering an ED and dealer delivery

For those who have ordered an ED, what was your wait between ordering and delivery?

My order just went in, and from what I read on the forums, diesel production starts on October 3.

Thanks!

Re: Time between ordering an ED and dealer delivery

IIRC my WK2 took about 5 weeks. There was a long wait from built to it getting on the train as they have a lot of trucks sitting in lots outside the plant.

Re: Time between ordering an ED and dealer delivery

The dealer told me 4-5 weeks, but it actually took 8. Obviously, there was a production problem, as I got the Luxury 2 package for free. Everything else was just as I ordered.

I ordered a ED Trailhawk around 27 Aug. I have a VON and a VIN# but no delivery date yet. I was surprised to already have a VIN with the production start date of 3 Oct. I'm curious when mine will be ready as well, but I'm thinking end of Oct with the delivery delays.

We have had great luck ordering through our dealer in the past, but this one needs to get here by the end of the year for tax purposes. Gotta love section 179 depreciation!!

Ordered ours back in 2014 when they first went into production. It was ordered around Labor Day and sat in a parking lot for several weeks waiting for the DEF tanks to arrive at the factory. Was finally at the dealer's lot the day after Christmas.

Mine was the same way when I ordered my 2014 I ordered in early October, it was built on 13 November 2013 and it was at the dealer by 27 November and I picked it up on the 29th of November. I'm not sure when they started building them back then. It seemed like forever waiting for them but it went buy fairly quickly.

I also have a 2017 Trailhawk Ecodiesel on order I'm thinking around 6 weeks from date they start building them. I also have my VON and VIN just waiting for production.
