And all the integrated trailer sway control software can do is engage braking on the tow vehicle, not on the trailer, which is likely where you actually need it once a sway event is underway.

I have a trailer with brakes and a brake controller on the JGC. Does the sway control tie into the trailer brake control? I would kind of assume that it does, but would like to know. My trailer isn't heavy enough to warrant an anti-sway hitch and I've never noticed any sway issues.

The owner's manual is silent on this, so personally, I assume no. However, someone else may know the answer. Or maybe a call to FCA could get an answer.

Re: Towing Mileage

Flat towed my 1993 Wrangler up a mountain the other day. 17 mgh avg going up a long steady climb (about 50 miles w/ 3000 ft climb + 45 miles flatter) then it dropped to 15.6 going up the steepest part of the mountain (about 20 miles w/ 3000 ft climb). We were very happy with that.

Re: Towing Mileage

If you use a networked system, such as the DirecLink brake controller, it WILL activate the trailer brakes in concert with the TV brakes.

DirecLink Brake Controller - DirecLink.com

Great system and works flawlessly...used it for over 14k of towing and on some gnarly roads as well
