I still think based on the purpose of the vehicle that it could be better protected for sure.... Just not sure how yet?

I also raise my vehicle when I am unsure of clearances.

Re: Trailering and Driving Mileage

Good advice. I have a feeling I will be making liberal use of the Off Road 1 and 2 settings this season until we have a workaround.

Nice rig, by the way.

Re: Trailering and Driving Mileage

I got the tow package on my limited, but it has the regular suspension. I wonder how big of a difference the load leveling / air ride suspension makes?

The load leveling is like a spring that self tensions... It won't be exactly as level as the air ride but it is certainly pretty good. I drove a Durango with the load leveling and the same setup, worked good.

Lots of people with half ton pick ups say my jeep is to "light" to tow with, then I point out my Jeep "weighs" more than then their truck.... Always a fun discussion.
Love it when MDX/Pilot/Highlander/crossovers owners think our WK2 is similar until we go off road or tow something really heavy besides a small fishing boat. That is what a real SUV is about and not based on a minivan that gets awd. Funny thing is a friend of mine used to tow a Porsche 944 racecar on an open trailer with a Mercury Villager (and it was scary just to be near him on the highway).

Nice job! Where did you mount the controller on your durango?

I've got a 2014 on the way. It wouldn't be as concealed as yours, but I'm wondering about mounting it under the u-connect...
