Truckstop DEF? SuperS DEF is ISO 22241 approved

The lowest price on DEF that I otherwise know of is BlueDEF by Peak at Sam's, which is about $10.xx for 2.5g.

There are a couple of new Buc-Eee's truck stops nearby that are HUGE, and they have SuperS DEF for something around $2.5g. Since it's ISO 22241 approved, I'm trying to think why I wouldn't want to use it? I would imagine that it has to be as fresh as can be with all the big trucks using it.

Does the pump handle shut off when the tank is full, like it does with gas/diesel? Definitely don't want that stuff spitting back up at me. Guess I could just watch meter on the pump, since I know what my gauge reads and how big the DEF tank is.

Truck stop DEF has been my only choice on my Ram ED, mainly flying J. The pumps do have auto shut off, but being the filler neck is so small it does not shut off as quick before spitting out....I always watch the gauge to see when it is getting close and the pumps can pump super slow to help minimize it too.

I've filled up ours twice at Pilot Truck Stops.
Once in Van Horn, TX and our local one on I-10 in Comfort, TX.

I've only used truck stop DEF. I keep my receipts to cover my ass if I get a bad dose. I also fill about four gallons at a time so it's always fresh.

The pumps at my local truck stop require the magnetic ring for the pump to work with the plastic filler necks. Just have to leave a credit card or ID at the register and they'll let you use it.

I've never even seen a DEF pump, but then I don't travel Interstates that often, and with the range of this thing I quite often get where I'm going (off the interstates) before I even need to gas up again!

ISO cert is only minimal starting point. As numerous threads all over the internet point out, it's the quality of the DEF that's usually at issue. Truck stop tanks are notorious for water leaking in (and other things leaking out). DEF should only be used within a certain amount of time (date of mfg is on box on BlueDef) and must be stored within certain temperature limits. What works in lots of trucks has proven to cause repeated problems in the engines we have. You may never have a problem but most people think you run higher risk of degradation of the DEF if you buy it from bulk tanks.

I'm tracking mfg. dates and am keeping receipts for the DEF that I buy in 2.5 gal containers from stores with high turnover. I also just bought a refractometer to check DEF concentration before adding. It's the same deal for these engines used in the Ram 1500's.
