James from rolling smoke diesel has one on his ram and loves it. He's beta tested a bunch of different box's and the TS box is by far the best. He's had no regin issues or check engine light. The only time he has was with the truck was in stock trim. Dennis Perry that owns and runs TS performance is a grade A guy and stands behind his product 100%.
I might have to make the hour drive south and stop by TS Performance and secure one in person. Since moving down from my Cummins I'm all about mileage now and anything that might help squeeze out a few more mpg's.
I'm heading down to TS Performance tomorrow morning before starting my 2200 mile road trip and having them install a MP-8. I'll be able to get some hwy numbers for everyone.
I had the MP-8 installed this morning at TS Performance, then immediately started my road trip. Here are the tentative results:
I have cruise set around 74/75 mph. I have another 800 miles to go before I get to my destination. Obviously these numbers are going to be off. Once I stop for fuel I'll hand calc this tank and see how far off the evic really is.
I actually just had a CEL show up this morning. Is there a way to pull codes without a reader? My last two Rams allowed me to cycle the key three times to pull codes. Is it possible with the push button system?
On a side note my mileage took a nose dive going through Kansas and eastern Colorado with a 40 mile per hour crosswind. Knocked me down to 25mpg.
All the auto parts stores will let you use a reader for free. You just give them your ID until you bring it back. Then they can pull up the code in the computer and tell you as well. Let us know what you find.
Had the code pulled this morning. Off hand I think it was P0127, system running rich. No doubt due to the mp-8. I'm gonna hook up the switch and dial it back a bit. I have a jumper in there now according to the tech who installed it for me.

Currently running at about 1/4 power. Anything higher than that trips the CEL for running rich. This problem occurs on JGCs and Ram ecodiesels alike. If your vehicle has received any software updates from November on it will trip the CEL. TS Performance is aware of the issue and has been working on a fix since January. There is a Facebook group for ecodiesels that has been tracking this issue since December/January.
Aside from the inability to run this at max power, the reduced lag and peppiness with 1/4 power from this add-on is still worth it. Although, PPEI has now developed a tune which has me leaning that way now. I might sell my mp-8 and wait for a custom tune.
That tank was right around 28mpg. I hit some pretty bad weather with strong winds in Kansas.
My winter day-to-day is 23-24. Now that it's warming back up I'm actually getting closer to 25 now.
In my opinion the mp-8 is great for eliminating lag and improving drivability. As far a gas mileage goes, it's still too early for me to determine right now. I'd like to get some miles with and without the mp-8 installed during the warmer months. With any luck TS Performance will have an update for those of us with recent dealer flashes.
