Re: Tuning your EcoDiesel

Hi,

I am in Nicaragua, Central America, I Bought a jeep grand cherokee Limited CRD 3.0 with Euro Specs. Diesel here is BAD, 3 months and the DPF was clogged. I removed it but the car went into Limp mode. After searching a lot I sent the ECU to England so they could remap it..no success ..now the car does not start. I took it to the dealer and they say is the PCM. Let me know if you can help me. Shipping to NY is no problem, I have office in Miami. Thank You

Freddy

Re: Tuning your EcoDiesel

Hey guys! Traded in the WK for a EcoDiesel a couple months ago - Been following the Celtic Tune thread but haven't found much of a review/or feedback on real results.

My biggest question is With the DPF Delete tune, would I be able to run a straight pipe (no cats, DPF, muffler) from the turbo back?

Does anyone have any videos of how it sounds?

Does anyone have pictures of the DPF/etc?

Most of the discussion is regarding the DPF - What about the EGR and Cats?

I will concur about the the benighted imperial system, but writing dates as d/m/y is nearly as bad as the US system. Everyone should switch to ISO 8601. Personally, I use ISO 8601 for all computerized dates because they sort correctly, but I just write my dates on paper as "23 Aug 2014", which is unambiguous. I even do it on tax forms that expect digits only. Take that, government!

I switched my JGC to metric display, including speedometer. That forced me to memorize the equivalents. I found it easiest to round up the kph to the nearest 5 to keep the numbers simple (e.g. 45 mph as 75 kph). Temperatures are easier because they don't need to be converted... just learn what "cold", "warm", and "hot" mean for you.

Re: Tuning your EcoDiesel

Well this just seemed to die off. Does ANYONE have any update on a custom tune?

I am interested to know if there has been any progress on this.

I will remove dpf in a couple of months.

So far I'm getting 30mpg highway 65-70 mph which I think is great with Long Island traffic.

STANG678, have you removed the DPF?

Also, has anyone has sent their ECU off to be tuned?

Does anybody have any actual numbers to report?

Re: Tuning your EcoDiesel

Also checking back in. I've put 15,000 plus on my ram since purchasing new in April. I've been using bluespark pro for about 14,000 of them with 18.5-20 city and 24-27 on interstate at 80mph with little or no wind. I am still planning on sending my pcm in to get tuned but have been crazy busy and am forced to deal with no remote start due to the engine light. I am also very interested in the benefits of removing the DPF from the exhaust system. I am hoping they hurry up with the release of an aftermarket full exhaust so I could send my pcm in at the same time of the install.
