Had a warning light go on in the EVIC. The Jeep started at -20 F and the light stayed on. Went to the dealer today, and they found the code P249C00 "closed loop reductant injection". Spoke directly with the mechanic. He said he has been dealing with this with several Jeep owners over the past few weeks with the cold temps. He said the problem is the DEF heater is not getting hot enough in the cold weather, and is affecting the people who live in the northern states. The DEF is freezing (since it is 60% water). Chrysler is aware, and is working on a flash update that should fix this problem. It may take several months. The dealer reset the light, and I drove about 150 miles today with no issues, but it is 15 above today.
