I certainly feel for you. I wish sometimes VOTS and MOTS didn't exist. Without them I'd have just expected to get the Jeep at the end of May, beginning of June and forgotten all about it 'til then.
I have no idea when it happened. The car had been sitting around for some time, so it could have been any time, really. Problem is - it's not just my car. I'm sure there are a lot of people that will be purchasing cars with damage. It's just not right.

I'm trying to figure out what my best options are at this point. I have to assume ordering another is one of those options. I've asked for a specific and detailed list of what was damaged and what was done to repair it. I don't think they could fix everything. My biggest worry is a branded title or something like that before the car even arrives.

So upset.

There would be no risk of a branded title. The vehicle has no title at this point.

Doesn't help how I feel. Doesn't help that I this is now a previously damaged vehicle, severe enough to warrant a return to the plant. Hail damage is no joke.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Just curious, when did this alleged hailstorm happen? I've been back in Detroit for a few days and have seen nothing of the sort.

Edit: FYI; My "permanent address" is 10 mins from JNAP.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Ok oh.. Not saying it didn't happen, I just haven't heard anything about it. I've been in and out of the region for the past couple months, so I can't say for sure that it's dealer bs. However, I doubt that'd be the best choice for an excuse if trying to preserve a sale, so maybe it did.

I remember that someone tried to pull this prank on us back in October when all of the EcoDiesels were being held at JNAP.

Yeah, lots of hiccups back then. Kinda like this whole debacle with MLB and replay. I credit the success of the EcoDiesel to you brave few who were willing to bat lead-off in the ordering, AND come all the way up here to see them in the plant and proclaim to the masses that they do exist! Lol

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Well, after the drama of finding out my car had been damaged (I still don't know to what extent), me telling the dealer I wouldn't take it, him finding me another one out of the area, I did finally take delivery of her this past Thursday. I couldn't be happier...

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

1200 miles since my first oil change and down to 58% on the oil life. This can't be right. At the rate I'm going I'll have to change the oil after 5 tanks of fuel. After the first oil change I thought things would improve now that we're out of the really cold winter weather we had. I was expecting 10,000 mile oil changes like on my wife's Jetta. No stupid oil life calculations, just bring it in at 10,000 for the oil change. Not happy about this considering the cost of the oil changes.....

Vtail,

Did you take her for TSB 18-018-14 REV.B? A bunch of us are suffering from a fast oil-life indicator change. I did my change @3500 miles, and 100 miles after the indicator was already at 85%. I'll be taking her for some serious TSB love in the next week or two.
