Hmmm, me either. I have a 2/2014 build. Don't know if flash was applied, but I suspect not. I asked Koons to do that and upgrade radio. They didn't do the radio, so doubt they performed the flash either.

I'm surprised they've left this in (or added it to?) the manual when it doesn't seem to work. I've always wondered why they didn't just set it so you press and hold OK on that screen. Would make a lot more sense.

Immediately after the oil life section, the new diesel supplement says that there is a Fuel Filter Life screen. I don't have that. Does anyone have it?

I don't have either of them. I have done the 18-018-14B TSB, so no hope there. Maybe it's for a future dream SFU machine, much like the imaginary LDW (if equipped...) in the owners manual.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

just got this message on the EVIC: "Engine Will Not Restart in 200 mi Service DEF See Dealer". I dropped it off at the dealer, and got a loaner car, but it might be a week before they can get to it, and the warranty only covers the loaner for 5 days. Any idea what might be going on? Anyone else ever get this? DEF gauge is showing over 1/2 full. I did get a message a week or so ago about wrong DEF fluid, but that was after it had been running for months since the last DEF fill up.

There is a thread all about some owners experiences.
Incorrect DEF - See dealer

Thanks much. Stopped at the dealer today and they have ordered a new catalytic converter, exhaust gasket and a "dose module". Bad news is the converters are on back order, no ETA. So I've got a Dodge Dart loaner in the meantime. Only one day so far and I already miss my SFU.

Still waiting for the replacement catalytic converter. It's been a week now and still no ETA and I'm still driving the loaner Dodge Dart. Here is my biggest concern - We took two camping trips this summer with a rented travel trailer. We were hundreds of miles from home. What if we are in Timbuktu (actually were in the Porcupine Mtns of Michigan, which felt like timbuktu) and the "your engine will not start in 200 miles - see dealer" warning comes on? We may not find a dealer within 200 miles and even if we did, we'd be stuck in Timbuktu Michigan with a trailer that needs to be returned by a certain date. At least we'd have a place to stay with the trailer but might face the $30/hr late fee if the trailer isn't returned on time. This has me VERY concerned and makes me wonder if using the SFU like we had hoped (pulling trailers, travel, etc) is a bad idea? Is there any way to disable or reset this "feature"?

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Just another rant from someone who really loves their SFU, but these are the kind of things that irritate me. My wife got a notice from VW on her TDI that biodiesel fuels can cause the oil level to increase to the point where it is bad for the engine. I assume it would be the same for my Ecodiesel. I checked hers and it was way up after only 5,000 miles since the last 10,000 mile oil change. She took it to the dealer who said it was way too high and an oil change at 5,000 miles. So now the dealer is recommending if you are using biodiesel fuels to change the oil every 5,000 miles.

I re-read my ecodiesel supplement, and as long as you stick with B5 or less, things "should" be ok. But if you use >B5 up to B20, your maintenance intervals must be shortened. In otherwords, more frequent oil changes.

Lesson learned: First of all, check your oil levels. Second, if you can find stations that use non-biodiesel fuel, that would seem to be better for your engine, if not the environmentally right thing to do. The local Holiday station says "B5 - B20", meaning it could be anywhere between B5 and B20. I think I'll find somewhere else to fill up.
