I was told Texas requires a front plate so I am sure the dealer has plenty of experience mounting them. I requested that they leave my bracket off and they did. Maybe the left yours off because they didn't know if you needed it or not.

I think that my Jeep may also be in this picture. The red one on the left.

Federal standards require that every vehicle manufactured for sale in the United States must have the capability of mounting a license plate on the front and rear of the vehicle; note I said capability. In Illinois and Utah, front and rear plates are required.

Did some gravel road driving a couple of weeks back and the Mopar mud flaps performed this duty as expected... Some nasty sounding plinks on the underbody but the rockers look to have survived unscathed, as did the trailer I was towing.

the mudflaps are definitely a necessity with these tires.

Anyone have experience with the husky mud flaps? Do the Mopars also require drilling for the rear installation?

SlipperyPete,

Here is a photo of a Black Mat in a Brown interior. I think it looks great, and there is a little black around the interior in trim items, so It matches up really nicely.

I decided not to go with this Mat and I am going to Order the X-Act fit from Husky in Black but use the Mopar trunk liner. The Mopar floor mats are of really good quality, but they didn't cover that carpet at the edge that gets all salty and crusty in the winter.

You're a better man than I, there's no way I could avoid checking. And what do we do to good men? We drag them down with us! So here ya go:

You not only left Cheyenne (finally!), but you left it twice. Maybe your SFU wanted to go back and pick up some more skittles to get ready for the trek through the Rockies?

I'm not planning on any serious off-roading if I do any at all. Everyone seems to hate the Forturas. Thought I'd stop by the local Discount Tire place and see what they might do for an exchange, but what do you guys recommend for my Summit's 20" wheels? I've been happy with the BF Goodrich Long Trail T/As on my Murano, much better than the Goodyear Eagles that were original. They were horrible in the snow, which we now have on the ground (but melting). I think I had Michelin's before the Goodrich and I recall liking those as well.

I'm by no means a tire expert but I have Nokians on my 2006 GC 5,7 Hemi, and they have been on there for about five years. They have been great for when I go skiing in the winter, when I travel long distances Chicago to Utah, great in the mountains and I mean mountains not hills. They are Vatiiva, 65R17. They have been great and never any problems; I've run them from Chicago to DC to St. Geroge Utah to Vegas and back many times. Like I said not an expert but they worked well for me.

If you aren't going to be doing any offroading and are sticking with the 20's, I'd go Michelin Latitude Tour HP's personally. Great tire (low road noise, great traction, decent in the snow and ice). The only down side is the treadlife isn't super great (don't expect 70-80k miles), but they should get you to 50-60k.

I've been busy dinking around with my Durango (The Pez Dispensing Hippo), learning all the ins and out of it and the UConnect system while I wait on the Jeep.

I will say, that if my Jeep is ANYTHING like my Durango, I'll be a happy boy.

My only user issues are around the documentation (that little illumination control switch does a lot of things, most of which don't seem to be well documented for example), and that the transmission really like's 4th gear ("Damnit! You are at 3k RPM.... SHIFT ALREADY!!!")

Oh... and I'm sure my unicorn went back for Jerky. Carnivorous Uniron.... keep your palms FLAT.

The mopar ones require drilling for the front and rear, but it is only in the plastic and underneath to secure the flap to the underside edge of the wheel well, it's not anywhere visible. The rest of the fasteners mostly use the existing trim connection points. The only exception is the rear where you need to make a tiny slit in the wheel well liner to slip in a threaded retainer clip to give one of the screws something to grab onto.

Basically, they are removable without any noticeable trace.
