There is a heater for the DEF fluid as I understand it. I'm guessing it turns on when you start the car and heats it quickly enough to not be a problem??

Thanks for this! It looks like it's just the Diesel supplement, anyone know if the rest of the manual is available online?

Just spent 5 hours giving my baby a good rub....

Washed her twice to get rid of Detroit crud and railway grime.
Clay Barred the entire vehicle.
Washed and Dried again.
Polished with a micro fine compound.
Waxed with McGuire's Ultimate Poly based wax.

If you haven't tried this, I highly recommend it. The paint has a lot of surface contaminants by the time it reaches your dealer. You can feel the rough gritty surface. My GC is perfectly smooth and the color has more depth and a mirror shine.

Also, Armour All makes a "tire coat" that a friend of mine tried 6 months ago. His tires are still shining and look wet. Its a flexible sealant in a spray can not a slimy goo that slings everywhere. I'm giving it a try.

I'll get some pics in the sun tomorrow.

What do you guys recommend for protecting the leather seats (not the plastic from Grandma's couch)? Some kind of leather protector, but something that won't clog up the perforated leather. Thx.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Going to follow your lead ExcursionDiesel… had already planned to wash/clay bar/wash/wax but now I will reconsider my wax and tire shine planning.

Will have to head to local auto parts store and try to find me some of that tire shine!

I keep sounding like I have stock in Chemical Guys but they have some great leather cleaner and conditioner. I even use it for my nice leather couches. It also won't clog the vent holes in the SFU.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Question to the Summit owners (Overlands might have a similar design). Do all of you have a strangely shaped foam sheet protruding on the right upper side of the passenger foot well. Looks like it protects some harnesses running behind, but it still looks odd. Here's a pic:

The clay bar makes the paint smooth but adding a super fine grit polish by hand makes it super slick...but was by far the most labor intensive part...worse than the clay bar, but well worth it.

CORRECTION! The super long lasting tire shine product is from TurtleWax. Its called "Black Tire Coat". Available at Wal-Mart and other fine retailers.

I made it through the diesel supplement manual and half way through the owner's manual. If you are interested in seeing the EVIC and Uconnect in action, here is a really good run through/review of the functions of each:
http://youtu.be/O7PxX2fvMuU
I thought it was nice to actually see what it looks like as opposed to simply reading it in the manual.

I contacted them for some info but never got a reply. Guess I'll have to try again...
