Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Sounds like the "Sport Mode" icon? You may have brought the gearshifter all the way back when putting it into drive, activating sport mode briefly.

So. I had slipped in Sport by mistake. I have not yet experimented with Sport mode, you would think the icon would be more evident in the manuals.

Many THANKS for getting me back in gear.

What color did you get in the Huskies?....I have the same interior color scheme as you and I am concerned that any tan colored slush mats (weatherbeater, Husky, Jeep) might not match the colors, so am probably going to stick with basic black...goes with everything.
I got the black, which was the only option with the husky x-acts. I actually think it looks really good to have some contrast in there. There was an almost unsettling/eerie feeling with everything in the light frost - almost like being in a sterile room. The black mats seem to balance things out a bit more, at least to my eye/tastes.

I could take a few photos if you want.

Yeah, and the other thing that I've been doing is just changing the point at which I turn it off. Normally in a car the first thing I do when I come to a stop is turn the car off. Now what I'm doing is making that the last thing. So as I gather my iPhone, unbuckle the seats, etc. I leave it running. That gives it an extra 15-30 seconds which is just about right for normal driving according to the chart. But if I forget to do that, I'm not planning on stressing at all about it. I'm sure it'll be just fine.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

And speaking of icons on the dash ... I ran across this one in the diesel supplement. There is no freakin' way I'd *ever* figure out what this is supposed to be if I hadn't read it in the manual.

It is the DEF symbol. You will see it accompany the Gage and or any warnings that come up related to it.

Photos not necessary...I agree completely and will go the same route. Funny thing as I looked at your specs...I had "ordered" the same thing in that beautiful Cherry Red, way back in February. In May I came back from a trip to find my wife's (unexpected to me) brand new BMW X3 in the garage...in red! Really? I had to change colors

Simple!! Farting skittles while flying over water. I'm amazed you couldn't figure that one out

Yeah, I know, but what the heck is it? Looks like "don't build a campfire on a dead body floating in the water.... "

I think it's a rorschach test.

I seriously stared at that for a while trying to figure out what they were *trying* to do (regardless of how successful they were ...). My best guess is that the thing in the middle is supposed to be an exhaust pipe with a cloud of exhaust coming out the back. The water drops above that are indicating that fluid gets added to the exhaust. And the water at the bottom is a somewhat standard "fluid level" indicator.

But dang man .... somehow I've got to believe they could've done something a bit better ...
