It appeared momentarily to the upper right of the speedometer (analog display). The best way to describe it is as a wavy flag, similar to the old Windows logo. It was green, included a staff, and the flag portion was four squares, which were checkered green and black. I assume since it was green, it is not necessarily a warning icon.

Has anyone else seen this icon. If it comes up again, I'll take a picture.
I thought that was your Jeep is telling you it is time to race - hence the green flag.

[QUOTE=Vtail;929248] I also just received the Husky X-ACT mats and the MOPAR cargo liner. QUOTE]

Once you've opened all your presents, can you post a photo or 2 showing the fit of the MOPAR cargo liner and its coverage around all the edges? Thanks

If that's the case then this was certainly not designed with my wife in mind.
Here is some more info on idle before shutdown, taken from the diesel supplement.

That was the section that prompted my question.

The table on the right indicates various scenarios and idle time before shut down.

I.E. City driving (stop and go) not towing anything (load empty) means the turbo will be cool so idle time before shutdown is less than 1 min.

At least that's how I interpreted it.

You won't always have to wait 5 mins before shutdown, only when towing a heavy load.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

I have owned a turbocharged vehicle before. Try to get used to getting the engine speed down before you park, and idling some before you turn off the engine. It is a lot better than frying your turbocharger.

True, true. And yes, I got ORA-2 and I have no expectations of it staying in pristine condition. I use SUVs more like trucks. And if it were just the cosmetics of having a ding I really wouldn't care. The thing that is upsetting to me is that it's scratched at least down to the primer, if not metal (hard to say for sure). I live in a HIGHLY corrosive environment, so things like that invite the rust monster in faster than you can say "mmm.... salty ....".

So I probably need to head to the shop and get it touched up. Gotta keep the rust monster's food well-hidden!

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

I picked up my Limited 4X4 Ecodiesel last Friday and ordered Jeep slush mats (front and rear) and the cargo mat from the dealer. They came in yesterday and I'm really satisfied with the quality and fit. The material is substantial, rubbery and very pliable. Front mats have "Grand Cherokee" molded across the center of the mat, the rear has "Jeep" across the hump and the cargo mat has no logo at all.

As others have said the DEF tank was only a third full when I picked it up although I didn't realize it until I learned how to use EVIC. I called back to the dealership and the sales mgr said "Sure, we'll fill it up"; but the Service Dept said "we will fill it up if asked". Anyway, they put in 5 gals.

I also went through the first tank of fuel and averaged 26 miles per gallon.

Just want to say that I love this ride. It's really a hoot to drive with all that torque.

You folks waiting on your new diesels are in for a treat!
