Let us know if you can eliminate the gap at the top of the driver-side light. I worry about water getting behind the light and freezing and expanding, not to mention rusting.

Even I tend to forget after a while about something that bugs the daylights out of me at first. I did send our checklist too my dealer so he knows what I will be using when I look over my new SFU. I've also been communicating with him about filling the DEF tank and other things so he understands my expectations before hand. It will be interesting....
Mine is not that bad, but is noticeable IF you know what to look for. If the guys on this forum hadn't pointed it out, I probably would've missed it on my inspection.

Had an interesting experience with the DEF fluid level at my pickup last night. I called my dealer beforehand and asked him specifically to make sure that this was filled and that the tail lights were aligned as best could be.

The tail lights were perfect, so maybe this isn't an issue with the later builds? Interestingly, the Def tank gauge was showing 3/4 full. When he double checked with the mechanics, they specifically said that Jeep wants them to use a special instrument/tool when filling the Def tank, Jeep does not want them to use the gauge, and they filled it full as indicated by this instrument/tool.

I remember reading that they do not want us to top this off as this would rupture the tank if the DEF fluid freezes. I wonder if this was all correct or it the mechanic was feeding me and the sales person a line. Considering the whole experience, if the worst thing that happens is that I get an SFU with only 3/4 of a tank of DEF fluid, I am doing pretty good.

Cheers, and yes to all who are still waiting, it is worth it!

Watching a live news feed of a big fire at some plant in Detroit. Thankfully, it doesn't look like the JNAP plant!!

From the diesel supplemental manual:

"Stop filling the DEF tank immediately when any of the following happen: DEF stops flowing from the fill bottle into the DEF fill inlet, DEF splashes out the fill inlet, or a DEF pump nozzle automatically shuts off."

There is an adapter/nozzle used to fill the DEF tank. It sounds like it is full when fluid will no longer go into the adapter, although it's a bit confusing on what actually constitutes full.

Mine showed 100%. IN fact when I turned on the jeep for the first time it was on that display... Could be because I was so explicit about all the stuff my inspection was going to entail.

He may have been feeding me a line. Everything else went so well I just wasn't going to argue. The level did go up a bit after it ran for a while. Worse case, I have to add more DEF before 10,000 miles.

I did get the smell after maybe 30 minuets. However, everyone else said that eventually goes away.

One thing I am certain of... even after the factory stuff cooks off it will smell like a diesel and not a gas engine. They just smell different... to me anyway.

A couple more decals I ran across after finding the previous one:

Not diesel-specific, but for the ORA-2 folks maybe:
