One more thing. If you get an LT size you get deeper tread depth. It may make your tires a little more rough but it's probably worth it in the long run.

Wow. I just don't even know what to say or about what. I'm going to need to drive a couple days to really get a feel of it.

Some quick notes. Uconnect is very nice and simple to use. Paired up in seconds with my Android phone. Calls are much better then in my Audi. The ride feels more refined then my girlfriends '11 WK.

The good stuff. The transmission is buttery smooth. Was shifting up and down without any hesitations or clunkiness I've read others post. The engine is fantastic. It is quieter than my '07 WK CRD was. It's crazy quiet in the cabin. I did not notice any hesitation or lag anywhere in the power band. Lots of oomph and so smooth.

I'll post more as get more comfortable with it. Here are a couple of pictures. I had to hug my unicorn before I bright her home (sorry the wait had gotten to me and my dorkiness shined through).

Awesome, we got the black with the blue interior. Very Snazzy!

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

I'm waiting for my vehicle to ship. The 2014 overland ecodiesel is replacing our 2008 CRD. Obviously I'm happy with my switch to diesel almost 6 years ago or there would have been a new Hemi in our garage in September.

They also have a tougher carcase so more puncture resistant. LT tyres are less squishy than passenger tyres. This is to give high centre of gravity vehicles, like trucks and vans, greater stability. For off-roading, this is great because they don't bulge as much. The sidewalls are less vulnerable to puncturing by sticks and rocks. Popular LT tyres in Oz are BFG T/A KO LT265/65R18 and Bridgestone D697 265/60R18 LT. The BFGs are slightly taller than stock resulting in some rubbing when worked hard. I don't know if there is a US equivalent of our D697. The Revo2 has the same tread pattern but that doesn't guarantee it is anywhere near the same tyre. Certainly the compound will be different. I have the D697s on my MY12 and so far they are great, not too noisy and not too hard. I've had them off-road with barely a chip in the tread

The factory tire is reportedly not optimum (trying to be nice) for snow and off-roading. I like the Goodyear silent armor tires that are on my ZJ.

Milous and Willx, how much do you charge to swap tires before my unicorn is put on the train.?
I am considering the BFG 265 X 65 18's. Not sure what to do about the spare though. I think it is a different wheel so couldn't use it in a 5 tire rotation. The tire may also cause the access door in the cargo area to not seat correctly. I am going to wait till mine comes in and then decide for sure. Not sure that I want a different size for my spare.

Does the change in tire size cause a problem with accuracy of the Speedometer?

Way back in January when we thought we could order granite with the indigo was not an option. I was going with black and indigo at that time. The granite looks great with the blue. I think granite looks better than the mineral grey it replaced.

Been driving this evening in eco mode. Was averaging 25 in rural city setting. It gets up and goes in eco. Going to play with sport tomorrow to see how week she moves.

They only wear for 2 winters, or about 30k miles, but it's still cheaper to replace that often than to have 2 sets of dedicated tires with wheels. Plus the Subaru only syncs with one set of tire pressure sensors.

Anyway, the nokians are available in a size for the wk2 18" wheel, and also probably the 20. That could be an option. I'm waiting to see how the jeep does with the latitudes. There's a big traction difference between a 3700 pound Subie, and a much heavier jeep. The jeep also has a longer wheelbase, and much more sophisticated traction control. The real test will be stopping distance.

I'll post some subjective opinion if my jeep ever gets on a train, and gets out here.
I thought I was running the Nokian and I am, I had to go to the garage and look. It's the all season Vativain and it's been great. When I checked the brand I noticed it's R17 but seems the same as my other tires.

The BFG 265/64/18 on the standard spare rim fits in the spare wheel well and the access door closes no problem, I've been running these on my 2011 Laredo CRD a bit louder on road but great off road

Is the wheel well in the 2011 the same as the NAFTA MY14? We have a DEF tank underneath from what I've read.

There is a ton of room under the rear of the WK2, so much that one Aussie company has made an 72 liter/ @24 gallon auxiliary fuel tank to fit under there, so I don't think they would of had to take up any of the spare tire room for the DEF tank, so I'd say the spare wheel well would be the same size
