Don't underestimate the amount of "stuff" you can, um...stuff...around the spare under the deck.

I'll probably be doing that tonight. Still at the dealer. They only had 2 gals of DEF, so they had to run out and buy a case to top mine off. They were well aware of my expectation that it would be topped off, and they agreed, they just didn't realize how much it took. Once that is done I'll be heading home on the maiden voyage. They also topped off the fuel tank. Nice.

In the interior I recommend that you look at your driver and front passenger under-dash trim at floor level. Last week I noticed that a trim panel under the glovebox was improperly installed and has a crack in it. There is a second trim panel in that footwell hanging down.

On the driver's side I noticed trim on the transmission tunnel sagging.

These are cosmetic issues that probably would't raise any eyebrows, but they should be addressed and made right. My dealer has agreed to do just that.

Trust me, it's pretty loaded, and I still have an extra container with necessities. At least I was able to fit the jumper cables, 2 tow straps, and a bunch of other goodies under there. Lots of room, but never enough

I ordered the block heater, and it is on my build sheet, however I don't see any cord anywhere in the engine compartment. Exactly where should I be looking? Thx.

left side, rear, near where the spot is that you would attach jumper cables. The plug has a cover over it, and is a little hard to see, but it is there on top. Jeep did a nice job on hiding it. Now I am curious as to where people are routing the cord and anchoring it for future plug in. By the way, congrats on the new ride. I ordered everything for the detailing, and am hoping it will be here by early next week, as I am on vacation next week. If it gets here in time, maybe we can get together for a day of detailing. I spent a small fortune at chemical guys, but with what we paid, we should protect them.

Koko is on a distinguished road
3 days in and I still get giddy every time I start it! I've put just over 100 miles on it so far and have yet to see the fuel needle move. The warnings I read in JG were a big help: DEF tank level, electrical burning smell, pre-delivery inspection tips.

I only have 2 critiques so far. First, I would like to see both the needle with in-laid digital readout on the speedometer, but you can only have one or the other.

Second, and I could be an ergonomic oddity, but something about the pedal/steering wheel placement has me sitting on the left side of the seat. (Yes, I know this sounds ridiculous). About 2 minutes into every drive I get uncomfortable and have to remind myself to sit in the center of the seat. I'm assuming this is just a transition issue that will go away the same time I stop stepping on the invisible clutch.

Other than that, I absolutely love this thing! Anyone know anything about Thule roof rack adaptors?

Congrats Sir!!

Is there a Uconnect thread here somewhere? I thought I would try updating the software, as it says my VIN qualifies for an update. Downloaded the Akamai installer, which then should have started a download to my PC but nothing happens. No download. Tried it several times with same result.

Also still can't get phonebook to download to Uconnect from my Galaxy S3. This is a hugely popular phone, but maybe it just doesn't work with this phone. The website lists S4 but not S3. It asks the phone for a "contact request", I hit OK, but nothing happens. It keeps doing this over and over. I may have to just manually put in the 1/2 dozen phones I call frequently.

The other thing I don't like is that every time I start the car and the phone pairs, it starts playing music from the phone even if I had previously turned off the music on the phone. Kind of a nuisance.

You'd think an old IT guy could get this stuff to work. Everything else on the car seems to be working great.

Still can't find the block heater plug. See pics. Either I'm blind or they didn't put it in. I should be getting my truck full of Chemical Guys stuff this week as well. Let me know when you want to do some detailing.

What version of Android do you run? I'm running Android 4.3.1 and the phonebook is working flawlessly on my Uconnect 13.38.52.
