w2kdiesel is on a distinguished road
At the dealer - topping off the DEF, state inspection sticker and a wash. Getting an average 23.6 MPG commuting into Boston. Stop and go traffic, with some highway mixed in. So far so good.

Thanks
I currently have 1,800 miles on my 4X4 Limited and the oil life gauge shows 80%. My average trip has been 75-100 miles at 65-75 mph.

I would assume your driving thusfar has been shorter duration trips?

For those of you smelling an odor when the engine is hot this is not the Urea which is odorless. There is something going on with the new coolant and a smell from contact with certain rubber hoses. There is no need to panic, other than the unusual smell there is no side effects to the system.

They are investigating the issue to see what needs to be done. Had some discussions with a few people about this as I know from experience that these engines do not smell after 300 miles.

Did you turn on the headlight manually first before trying the washer?

Twice now in two days. If it continues I'll have to have the dealer look at it.
After about 350 miles, I am at about 19-20 mpg. I have been driving almost exclusively in Eco mode and with a light foot. However, it's been probably 65/35 city/hwy and most of those city trips have been about 2 miles in cold weather. I have been using remote start tongetntherenearly engine at least a little warmed up first, but it's not like it gets close to operating temp. Those highway miles wee the first 150 and it was reporting 24 or so during that time (150 miles at ~75mph, which I am concerned was a little too much for the initial 150 break in of trans, gears, etc).

At 350 miles my oil life shows 81%. Most of my trips are 2-3 miles in cold weather.

Well at least it is compensating for cold starts!

It's been in the garage so I have not been using the block heater, however it's been coooold in colorado the last few days and even the garage has been in the high 30's in the morning. Would the block heater help the gas mileage and oil life situation?

How do you access the Uconnect fuel finder? I can't seem to find it.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Anyone yet have experience with the stock Michelin Latitude Tour tires (18 inch wheels) in the snow (and willing to give an opinion)?

The response from the CSR was less underwhelming when I said I need the full set with a "what's that?" response for the Owner's Kit.

Today, I got the 5th edition of the Owner's manual but nothing else. I've kicked it back to my dealer to handle.
The users guide and the DVD came with your Jeep. Look in the glove box, there is a small shelf that sits up, and a lot of people have missed this, but it is there.

I am definitely getting a smell. If you find out more, please let us know. Thanks for the update.

Far right apps button-travel link-fuel prices-then change the fuel type to diesel on the left
