Couple pics from the Shannon-Vtail detailing center. We spent most of the day doing a get-it-ready-for-winter detailing on our SFUs. We washed them at the coin op, then a waterless wash, then clay bar, another waterless wash, applied JetSeal109 paint sealant, buffed it out, cleaned the wheel rims and applied JetSeal and finished with VRP tire dressing. Went pretty well, just takes a lot of time....

ps. found my block heater cord. We looked at Shannon's and followed the plug to where it connects to the engine. Then followed it back from the engine to the plug on mine. It was hanging down below and behind the radiator coolant tank well out of sight. We routed it up and tie-wrapped it for future use. Yeah!

Great that you found your heater cord.

I'm at 1,363 mimes and the oil life is showing 69%. I never expected to reach 10,000 miles on the first tank. On my 07 I changed oil around 6,000 miles. So anything above that between oil changes is a bonus.

Did the clay bar help with the orange peel effect?

I'll have to look at it under better light. I wasn't specifically looking for that when we finished today. I will say I didn't notice it, but again, need to look at it under better light.

Ok, under direct sun light mine isn't as noticeable but at the dealer under the florescent lights you could really see it on the hood. So if the clay bar helps I may have to do that in the spring.

I'm guessing the clay bar won't make a difference, as it is only to remove small contaminants from the surface of the paint. Perhaps a polishing would help, and maybe the sealant I applied helped. Will have to look at it under some different lighting to see. But I'm guessing the orange peel is under the clear coat and therefore not much you can do about it. I've looked at some others and they all look similar, so am thinking that is just the way it is....BTW, after detailing the car looks awesome. Lots of shine and the metallic paint really sparkles and the cherry red color pops and is eye catching.

The manual says to press S, the the seat position then lock on key fob:

To program your RKE transmitters, perform the following:
1. Remove the Key Fob from the ignition (or change the ignition to OFF, for vehicles equipped with Keyless Enter-N-GoTM).

2. Select desired memory profile (1) or (2).

3. Once the profile has been recalled, press and release the SET (S) button on the memory switch, then press and release button (1) or (2) accordingly. “Memory Profile Set” (1 or 2) will display in the instrument cluster on vehicles equipped with the EVIC.

4. Press and release the LOCK button on the RKE transmitter within 10 seconds.

Either way, it will not work for me to program one of my keys to position 1.
I managed to program one key to position 2, but I wasn't even trying so I am not sure what I did exactly.

I have tried so many variations, car in ACC/RUN/ON and OFF mode. Press S and the number, just press S, etc.... and can't get the key to program.
Maybe the Key has an issue.
Easy Exit option is also turned on as is Program Key FOB of course.
Where is the "program key to fob" located??

Shannon/V-tail
Sounds like a great way to get the JGC's ready for those MN winters. That Cherry Red is beautiful...
