Thanks, I will store the link for later. Where do you find this stuff? They are currently listing an oil change for $29.95. However, I am sure that we will pay much more than that when we are due.

I'm beyond mad. How can a $60K vehicle roll off production (with the 100% famous inspection) with a warped sheet metal defect that is absolutely visible during final visual inspection, and still pass everything and end up needing a repair in a dealer's body shop?
Next chapter:
After 4 days at the dealer's body shop my SFU finally has a properly attached door handle. Problem now is that while disassembling the door, the shop broke the door trim panel clips. This is a common thing while pulling out a panel, and the Chrysler trim removal document recommends discarding the clips and replacing them. Obviously the dealer didn't, and the panel is now only partially attached. Back to the dealer tomorrow.

I'm noticing something similar. I have about 700 miles on and mostly see the drop in MPG at cold or nearly cold start-up. Seems to last 8-10 miles before full efficiency snaps alive. It appears to be an 8MPG drop, if the screen numbers are correct.

Also noticed it yesterday after passing someone on a two lane road with a small nudge on the throttle. I was driving into a 20+ headwind...So it was tough to tell what was computer control and what was wind effects.

Overall it is an amazing piece of work...I love the technology and all the alerts. Just pampered and spoiled by the soundness of this drive and loving every moment. I'm using a cold weather ready fuel...I just do not trust weather this time of the year in this part of the world.

I'll investigate further tomorrow but just wanted to get it out an see what you all thought? Also, on about 250 miles so far, I'm at about 22 MPG and I would estimate that as 80/20 hwy/city. I know it's way to early in the game to worry about MPG but hearing everyone else with 28-30 just seems a little odd.
I only have 700 miles on her and looks to be 25mpg mostly highway short 70 mile runs and return with some city... but I am babying it mostly 60-68 MPH...I am running a winter blend just in case we get an arctic blast...I think my MPG and yours are the same!

Ordered 2 FOB covers for the 2014 JGC SFU. Perfect fit, and virtually eliminates accidentally hitting buttons. No need to remove FOB to push buttons, you just need to press harder to get the button to work. Ordered a black and a purple cover. Lots of colors to choose from. thejacketstore.com and order ddga76

Thanks. Just came back from the dealer. The 2014 trim clips are new to the JGC platform and not in shop stock, so now we need to wait for them to come in. Things will be straightened out eventually. The reason I bring my stories here to the forum is to help future buyers understand the general buyer experience based on points I have observed:

1. The SFU is one amazing engineering wonder. First and one of a kind luxury built in the USA.
2. The JNAP line team is doing an amazing job building those machines.
3. Production line defects can and do happen.
4. Chrysler needs to work much harder on post production QC. This is usually what makes the difference between a standard and a luxury line.
5. Chrysler needs to build tighter relationships with dealerships and authorized shops. When a vehicle is out on the market, parts should already be available, service tech's need to be already trained and knowledgeable, and customer care needs to be attentive and not excusing.

Just my .02 experience.

Here's a pic of the pro-tect film. The only time it's even slightly visible is if there's a light source from behind the car and it hits the seam.

I continue to love this car and discover new things. Today I found out that on the Fuel Finder app, you can tap the column headings to sort by Brand, Distance or Price. From my research, BP appears to have one of the higher cetane ratings, so perhaps searching by Brand is something you might want to do. Then once you find the station you want to head to, just select it and hit Go and the Nav system will take you there. Very nice integration of the different features.

I also have looked at some fuel/milage tracking apps for my Android. I have two loaded right now to compare them - FuelLog and GasLog. The first is free, the second one is $0.99 after a 30 trial. The second one looks a bit nicer, has a data backup feature and will compare your milage to the EPA data. I'll post more after I have played with them. I just put in my first fill up today and since it needs a previous odometer milage (they both assume you are entering data at each fill up and use the previous odometer milage for their distance traveled calculation) I had to do a manual calculation - 22.9mpg on the first tank, nearly all of it short trips on cold days. Pretty good I think. After break-in I'm hoping it will be even better.

Thanks to Shannon, I looked in the little shelf in the glove box and found the User Guide, Owner Info CD and a neat green canvas Jeep logo pouch to keep stuff in. Cool.

There's a shelf in the glove box? No way! Now I gotta go see for myself.
