Picked up my SFU..full DEF, no alignment issues, need to update UCONNECT but love it already.

Been up since 4pm so I need some Zzzz's....more to follow.

I am sure I am not the last to say it nor can I convey the sincerity but THANKS to the JNAP crew, Willx, Milous, and all you others for making the wait bearable.

You ordered exactly what I ordered so I will be interested in what your observations are.
Great choice...

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Odd request...

I bought diesel additive and want to get another emergency filler adapter (same thing used for gas can located in spare).

I want another so I can just keep it in the garage and not have to dig it out and clean it every time I fuel up. I am and have been scouring the internet but haven't found anything yet.

Would any of the guru's of all things Jeep know the part #?

At the gas station, I pushed the button to pop the fuel door open, and the door was frozen shut. I pressed on the door, and kept pressing the button, but it would not open. I kept going back and forth between the button and the door, trying to work the door open. I had to have my wife press the button at the same time I hooked my fingernails in the small gap around the fuel door, and pried it open. Lucky my wife was with, as this was a two person job. Just thought I would let everyone know incase you run into the same problem.
Sometimes, not on this jeep yet, I have had to use the windshield squeegee at the pumps, it has a deicer solution in it so it won't freeze to the windshield. Works on the fuel door sometimes depending on how iced up it is.

Are you talking about the funnel thing?

FUNNEL, Fuel Tank Filler Tube 68158775AA

It MSRPs for around $6 -- generally online you can get it for about $4

Is it necessary to use the OEM funnel? If you buy additive jugs on Amazon, they offer you a Hoppkins funnel. Its $1.39, looks perfect for us, and for this price you can buy a bunch.

Alternative:
Go to your store of choice (Walmart, o'Reillys, Napa, etc) and purchase one of the long narrow trans fluid funnels, with a hacksaw and/or Dremel tool they can be sized to nearly the same as the OEM funnel.
I keep the OEM funnel tucked inside the fuel filler door (it fits) because I use additive all the time, and keep 2 spares of the above in the spare tire compartment. Cheap.

Is diesel fuel additive really needed? My wife has had her 2009 Jetta TDI for 4 years now in MN, and no problems. Is the CRD different? How do you know which additives are really good and helpful vs those that are just snake oil? I've read that some can even harm the emissions system.
