Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Still wish the phone book would also load addresses. I go to use the nav system, and have to tell it addresses. It will ask me if I want to navigate to a phone number. Just for the heck if it, pressed yes. Obviously, it could not complete the command. It is unable to gather addresses from the phone book.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

New here.

I'm right about 1 month since I ordered my Overland diesel. Last week got the final inspection email, so now I am just waiting (impatiently) for it to ship. I'm still hoping to get it before Christmas so I can take a little holiday road trip to break it in.

Don't be too disappointed if it misses Christmas, as mine took over two weeks once it was loaded on the rail car. No matter when it arrives, it will be exciting!!

Oil question: I'm now at just under 1200 miles and the oil life is at 67%. At that rate I'll need to change oil at 3600 miles. It was my understanding that under normal driving you could go 10,000 miles between changes. So the question is, can I ignore the oil change at 3600 miles and go to 10,000? It will get expensive changing the oil three times more often than originally expected.

I've been thinking like you for a while now every time I read someone stating how fast they need to change there oil. At that rate I might have to do it myself in the garage. But I really hope not; maybe if I get a better type of diesel oil I can go twice as long. Maybe Amsoil synthetic might do the trick. Amsoil recommends the following for 2014 GC 3.0 CDR,

European Car Formula 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil

Looking at pg 630 in the operator manual shows that you could hit 3500 miles for the oil change interval if you live in very hot or cold climate, short drives, etc. I think once MN warms up again the minder wil go back up.
Only thing I could find that makes sense for your readings...

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Today I had a problem with my windshield wipers. We had a snow storm and a relatively cold day. The wipers kept on freezing and wiping action was nil. There are a bunch of threads on JG discussing this issue. I assumed that Jeep would redesign the wiper layout and operation to overcome this, but no change have been introduced to a problem that existed since 2010. Can any of our snowy SFU owners give advice whether they experienced this problem, and what do they DIY to solve it (maybe better blades)?

On the driver's side I noticed trim on the transmission tunnel sagging. These are cosmetic issues that probably would't raise any eyebrows, but they should be addressed and made right. My dealer has agreed to do just that.
Thanks got mine yesterday and saw the same problem, thanks for pointing it out

I'm down in central Mississippi with my 2014 4X4 Limited JGC Turbo diesel. Since I purchased it on November 8th I have put 5,800 miles on it, mostly highway driving in relatively mild weather. My oil life gauge currently shows 43% so I'm pretty close to the 10,000 mile oil change interval. I'm not one of the motorheads that frequent this site but I would think you would want to stick fairly close to what EVIC is putting out on your specific oil change interval.

You could try lifting up the blades when you know there is snow on the way.

Just became an owner last night in a process I'll have to describe later when I have time. Anyway when I drove to work this morning I got alerts to service the 4 wheel drive, abs, acc, and traction control. All of which are not working now. Any ideas?
