Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

I'm in the same boat. I want a tire which can hold its own in mud and snow, but is capable on-road as well. Seems you have to go bigger to get that.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Is there a general consensus that the Michelin LTX A/T 2 is a better offroad tire than the Michelin Latitudes that come on the GC CRD? I understand that some of you think there are even better offroad tires, but the LTX A/T 2 seems like a good compromise.

Thank!

Jim

Some more indigo interior pictures. you really don't even notice the come being blue. "Feels" more like grey or slate. When you look at it you see it as blue. Maybe I'm not explaining it right. It's a really cool color. I didn't take any additional exterior shots yet.

Question Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Nice. A home of our own. Been scouring the threads since I ordered my unicorn 3 weeks ago. Anyone have intel on how long the 'Scheduled for Production' period is running these days?

You should be in production any day. Become a level 3 supporter here and you can track your jeep from production thru delivery. Level 4 also gives you a custom build sheet.

When I say technically illegal, there is a little leeway on size but tyre construction seems to be a grey area. I've tried hard to get Chrysler and Bridgestone to give me official tyre pressure recommendations for my LT tyres but all I get is noncommittal waffle. They keep referring to the tyre pressure placard on the car and skirt around the fact that it relates to passenger tyres only.

Though I don't recall what size, so it could've been something a bit more nuts. Unfortunately none of the LT tires seem to come in that size. As I said earlier, the closest I could find was the 32" 275/65/18's. If I don't choose an LT I'd probably just go with the stock size. I'm not actually trying to get a larger tire, I'm more just interested in possibly putting an LT tire on there. Although I found this interesting tidbit when looking at the new Wranglers: So it sounds like the LTs have worse wet performance. Since snow and offroad aren't as common for me, maybe getting the better wet performance is the right choice? Still not sure what I want to do....
In Aus the BFG A/T 265/65/18 is a light truck construction (L/T), I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the USA as you guys get way more choice of tire size than we do in Aus

Just as a warning - I have the Mich AT/2 tires on my Pathfinder.

They are probably the best tire I've owned for All Terrain use (I mean off-road 5% on road 95%...but really using it when off-road). BUT they have beaten th heck out of my lower doors and bottom moldings. They really pick up and throw gravel and road junk.

If you have access to scales weigh your front and rear axles separately. Then consult a load and inflation table for the size and style of tire you are considering. The tables do not vary much from one mfg to another so you will be close whether the chart is for Michelin, Toyo, or Bridgestone. Here is a link to Toyo's charts. Page 71 addresses your issue.

The dealer should fill the DEF tank before delivery. They should then refill every 10 thousand miles at the oil change.

I talked to my salesman about the amount, or lack of, DEF. He apologized and said the tech didn't realize it was a diesel so he didn't check. Sounds like a BS answer but they are going to fill when I take it in.
