miles appear to drop off the back of the real time display but appear to be from manual reset on the trip odometer displays.

Ok, it is pretty easy to tell. As an example on my truck I could drive to the shipyard when my boat was down for weeks putting on a couple thousand miles as its 2 hours each way and all on the freeway. When the boat leaves and going back to town driving and bass boat towing the mileage would drop down to my average for city mileage within a few hundred miles despite the fact that there was a couple thousand miles on the freeway that should have been offsetting that to nearly highway mileage with a slow trend down over time. It was something that you just had to pay attention to in order to see, no fancy tools or calculations required. If you've been paying attention you are probably right.

Anyone else that picked up a car recently seeing the same?

Shell has a national contract with Chrysler, providing preferred pricing. Since Shell owns Pennzoil, there are really only two oils one needs to consider for the CRD: Mobil and Pennzoil. The Helix brand is Shell, but apparently hard to find in the USA. As indicated previously in one of the forums, the Mopar brand oil is Pennzoil. With the Shell contract, the dealership is very competitive.

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

I was at my dealer today and the price is 9.40 which is way off 6.60, I think you scored a great price because the parts guy showed me the container and looked it up and told me that was the price.

I bought 24 from a site in Chicago at 8.25 ea. which was the best price I could get with no tax and free shipping.

I am in Tampa all the time for work and family used to live there, what dealership did you go to? You got a great deal...

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

I went to 10 different auto shops looking for oil. I wound up going across town to a store V-tail recommended, and they only had 1 quart left, and it cost $13. After spending over an hour running around, I bought it. Hopefully when the Rams are released, this oil will become more common. Glad I am getting my first 3 oil changes for free - this is going to get expensive.

So here is how I finnaly got my jeep last week. Dealer said it was supposed to be delivered on Monday the 16 th mots said the 17th. It didn't come in the 16th and the 17th was the only day I had available to go to the dealer since the dealer is 4 hrs away. I took a chance and went only to have the scheduled noon delivery time come and pass. The dealer made some calls and got the regional rep on the case. They got the ok for us to go to the train yard and pick it up and drive it back to the dealer. The dealer didn't even know where the yard was but thankfully my fiancÚ figured it out on our way there by looking at the satellite images on Google maps. We ended up waiting in the truck dispatchers office for over half an hour because they couldn't find the jeep which for some reason was due to the Cheryl Crow concert the past weekend. I still don't quite understand that part. I then drove it back to the dealer in ship mode with stickers all over the windows and mirrors and no plates of any kind. It was about a 30 minute drive on the interstate during rush hour. A couple hours later and it was finally prepped and officially mine. I had a nice 4 hour drive home and ended up getting in just before midnight. I loved the jeep and was looking forward to driving to work the next morning. The next morning I backed out of the driveway and suddenly got alerts saying I need to service the 4 wheel drive and abs. Traction control and acc were also out. I drove straight to the local dealer who told me they couldn't get me in till the 24 th. So I drove it for the next week and let me tell you it is not much fun to drive in snow with rear wheel drive no abs or esp. I couldn't even make it up my driveway. All of the sudden in the 23rd it starts working again. I still took it to the dealer in the 24 th but there was nothing they could do or see since it was working fine then. Of course today the 25 th I drove it again and everything went out on me again came back and went out. This leaves me where I am now, with a Jeep that doesn't work properly more times than not and a huge bill coming each month to pay for it. I am at a loss and do not know what to do. Merry Christmas everyone

Re: Welcome ALL 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel owners!

Not exactly the most positive first round for you and the JGC diesel. Hopefully this is just a software issue. Best of luck getting this corrected...

I barely recalled I had read something about lifting the rear wiper in the manual so today while waiting for someone I took a look at it.

There is a tab under the wiper base you press or push I forget but then it allows you to slide the plastic cap back and lift the wiper nearly perpendicular to the glass.

And I thought I had the whole manual memorized by heart... Reminding myself to RTFM. Thanks!
