Re: What did you pay?

Boy, do we get stitched up down here in Oz. Would love to be paying US prices! Am doing the rounds of dealers now for the Laredo diesel (we can get it in diesel here, so that's a plus) and am remembering why I hate dealers with a passion. Sneaky underhand..... I won't go on. Best price with tow kit, tint and a few bits and pieces is $56k. Hope to get it under $55k

Re: What did you pay?

I paid just north of $43K for my Limited with ORAII and LuxII. Not really helpful since you're looking for for an Overland with Tech package but just as another reference point.

For an Overland Diesel that is fully loaded except for the CD/Blue ray, aim for just shy of $49.000

Re: What did you pay?

If i did my math correctly the gas v6 is about $43,500. The diesel is tough with that upfront cost. I know it would eventually pay it's self back. I just need to find both and test drive to see what i really need/want.

Re: What did you pay?

Mine is a Limited 4x4 EcoDiesel with advanced tech, lux 2, off-road adventure 2, block heater and 8.4AN. MSRP was $51,675; invoice was $48,711. Paid $46,000 after $500 NFIB rebate plus $50 doc fee and $150 paint protection that they claimed they were under contract to do no matter how much I told them not to. Came out to about 5.57% below invoice before fees and extras. Also got four oil changes over two years under the On the Job commercial program because I file a schedule C on my tax return from my independent contracting. It was written up as a $210 service contract that was taken out in rebates.

Wow that is a great price. Does that include destination fee?? I calculated invoice on that config to be just over $50k. (I know because I was looking for the same config)

As a few have said already - start with the invoice price off TrueCare or wherever, including the $995 destination charge. Then look to pay 2-5% less than that regardless of what package you get. Forget MSRP even exists.
Don't even mention trade-in's or financing until after you have negotiated the price for the new vehicle.
Wait until last week (Tues/Wed) of month if you can - phone or email a bunch of dealers telling them exactly what you want and have them respond with their best offfer.
Got my '14 Overland for 3% under invoice doing just that, and happened to be a vehicle that just came off the truck with 10 miles on it - perfect!

Around $46,238 +TTL for the setup you are looking for with the Texas Group buy. That will include delivery

Why go to true car when there is a thread here with the breakdown of invoice price

How are you calculating that? If invoice is $50k, 5.5% off would be about $1000 higher.

Mark sold me my Overland 4x4 diesel with ATG and ORA2 for $48,900. Invoice on that config is $51,690. The similarly-equipped Limited was only a couple hundred cheaper.
