What Performance Mods are available and working?

So far the only things I have heard of are:

1. Afe Intake = No proven Gains. Maybe throttle response, less lag, better turbo sound.
2. Bluespark = Not sure about this one. Worth it? Better to wait for the Full Tune?
3. Full Tune = No idea when this will be available.

I am getting frustrated trying to find anything worth jumping on at this time. I thought I was gonna get this jeep, throw on an intake, exhaust and a tune and have 1000rwhp. Kidding, but come on....my stupid neighbor and his 2007 Dodge Ram Cummins and all its 5in exhaust noise and smoke. I need somethin!

Turned out to be a bit more of a rant than I intended, but can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks

I'm tracking these items on another forum. I'm sure by next year at this point we'll be flooded with upgrades.

The emission make this a very complicated engine. Banks has been reporting on another forum. The Banks liaison there said their exhaust is basically a muffler delete(axel back). He has stated that, in his opinion, no reputable company will do a DEF delete, due to the complicated and integrated nature of the emissions system.

He also stated no real power increase, or MPG increase, but reduced turbo lag.

Re: What Performance Mods are available and working?

I think some of the best "performance mods" are not necessarily having to do with the engine but with the suspension.

I'm planning on doing the following:

- add wheel spacers
- installing the SRT rear sway bar
- possibly installing lowering springs (1" drop in front and 1.8" drop in rear)

With these improvements the suv will handle much better...

I have the air suspension. Not much I can do there. Not sure I'd want to.

I guess I'll stick to appearance mods for now. I have already removed all badges. I think HID Fog lamps and some plast-dip work. Hopefully that will hold me over until the performance market picks up.

There are aftermarket air suspension height sensors that are adjustable. You can raise or lower the overall travel of the suspension.

As far as performance goes, the tuning boxes are already making good power and the ECU has been unlocked so ECU tunes are on the way. I doubt the ECU tunes will make any more power but may be smoother. By either method, the max torque for the transmission has already been reached. +50 hp and +80 ft-lbs is easy to obtain if that's what you want.

With a 100K warranty, there is more to lose if you decide to risk playing with this drivetrain.
