Re: Where are all the EcoDiesels hiding?

Followed a black limited EcoDiesel on 680 N in Milpitas Tuesday afternoon/evening. I love admiring the headlights as they come up - and then the easter egg of seeing the EcoDiesel badge on the tail end makes the experience

So, to answer the question in the title, they are hiding in plain sight.

I certainly don't want to be seen as a tree hugger, but applying a HEMI badge on my diesel would be even worse. For that would imply I was wasting money supplying two unnecessary cylinders with fuel

If you want to have some fun, get a HEMI badge.

Re: Where are all the EcoDiesels hiding?

I'd guess a number of them are hiding in the service bays. I had the check engine light come on and typical Jeep service. No communication and asked if I could leave it overnight as they were busy (I had an appointment for a couple days in advance). I couldn't leave it and they said a loaner was not an option. They did manage to get to it and said it was an update with no detailed explanation. It's definitely a night and day difference between bringing my wife's MDX in for service and the Jeep. I'm still more of Jeep type person...but I'm not sure how much longer. This is my 2nd new GC in a little over a year. I should have learned. Suppose to bring it back again for new head unit as well due to service vehicle phone flashing often. Maybe they'd have time to check the alignment on the service order when I bring it back.

Re: Where are all the EcoDiesels hiding?

All auto's are the same and it does not matter what you own! They all have problems. Case in point, just had to replace the one way clutch pulley on my wife's XC90 and it has only 100,000km. $2k later it should be fixed in a week.

I have not had any issues so far on my 2014 diesel overland and will pissed if there are issues like you appear to be having yet at least there should be parts readily available...the xc90 parts I need are not even in the country!

Hope things work out on your end!

As for other diesels in my neck of the woods, hard to tell! What's the big give away other than the little logo in the back door panel?

Re: Where are all the EcoDiesels hiding?

Based on the different headlight style I don't think I see very many 2014 Grand Cherokees of any type in my area. I also see very few new-Cherokees. I'm not sure if people around here aren't interested or if they just don't really have the money to spend on new cars right now.

Saw my first EcoDiesel in the wild today... Black Overland with Lowery Bros dealer frames on 370 heading into the village of Liverpool.

Re: Where are all the EcoDiesels hiding?

Not seen another on the Cape yet, even at the local dealers, which is odd as I would think it would be hard to find a better vehicle for this part of the world!
Maybe once they get old and rusty the Cape Codders will want them!
