Re: Who regrets buy the diesel?

No regrets on my 2014! A couple of minor issues in the beginning and a CAT swap out @ 17K miles - rock solid since @23K. Pretty darn good IMHO for a new year model/engine. The responsiveness and attitude of the dealership is key to making any issues as painless as possible.

Re: Who regrets buy the diesel?

I don't regret getting the diesel. If I had done more research I would not have picked up the 12/2013 build and picked a later build. Truck spent 47 days in the shop during the first 7 months of ownership. Got word last week that Chrysler is going to buy back jeep and will try the ecodiesel in the ram chassis. Family currently has 3 ecodiesels.

Re: Who regrets buy the diesel?

No regrets whatsoever.
Would buy another in a heartbeat.
We LOVE our diesel GC.
Fantastic power, torque, drivability, and economy.

No regrets AFTER the emission problem and the pesky oil leak was fixed. I had doubts at first on buying the diesel because of these problems. The oil leak took WAY to long to diagnose and fix, but that was because of the poor service at the dealership.

I would by a diesel again.

Just over 4800 km's now and we got 8.1L/100Km on our second road trip.
This is amazing, never mind on good it drives.

Put 120,000 miles on our 2008 CRD and no complaints after 41,000 mile so far on our 2014 ecodiesel.

Re: Who regrets buy the diesel?

I dont regret it as i love it when i can actually drive it.. But damn this p20ee stuff. 2nd one and yes new cat new part number. Lame. they have had it for 1 month now. Very annoying if you ask me.

I think i will go for a 2016 and delete all this crap and just have the warranty (max care) for every other component. Fca said they will give me a max care for free and i even get to cancel my current one for a pro rated cost. Now just got to go thru to the process of them actually buying it back. arrrgghh!!!

Re: Who regrets buy the diesel?

I regret that Jeep isn't more tech forward. I regret that the "Trail Rated" badge is just marketing and comes with a ridiculously exposed vital part and joke for tires.

I don't regret the diesel, I love it in fact.

No regrets! Some frustration with the SCR, but that frustration would have happened with any new vehicle sold these days imho.
