I see I can get original Mopar for the same price off ebay as the Wix filter. I'll buy the Mopar all day if that 's the case. Had no trouble last winter with 3 micron Mopar. Should change every late fall to avoid trouble in winter months.

I'll stick with what the manual specifies rather than what some service advisor says. How many service advisors specified the wrong motor oil? Diesel fuel, for the colder months , at least around here is "winterized" to help prevent wax crystal formation (fuel filter plugging). Needlessly running excess crud through a high pressure fuel pump at over 29,000 psi just makes me cringe.

Most 2ndary or final fuel filters are 2 or 5 microns. I really would like to know if out MOPAR filters are 3 microns. That would help keep wear down on the pump...
