My "think sooner" comment was in reply to someone who had mentioned that they thought it was still something like 3 years out. It will be a 2017 model, but is currently scheduled to be released 6-7 months early (tentatively set for January 2016).

Re: Jeep Rumors

This must be an exciting time at Jeep - with the early prototypes being built, etc....

Does anybody have any guesses for the upcoming model? My guess is the Barracuda (or whatever it is called), although I heard that was a few years out.

My guess is that the high-power variant is unveiled at the LX Springfest and makes ~500 HP. Could be in the 2015 Jeep SRT as well (any comment Milous?).

I cannot wait for the Wagoneer, it is going to be awesome.

Next gen Challenger is slated for the 2018 model year. The upcoming model I was referring to is for model year 2016.

Not for the Jeep, and much higher than 500hp.

That's what tripped me up. The Hellcat has been reported to be 6.2L up until this point.

My new guess is that it has between 640-700 HP and is in the Challenger (and possibly the Charger and 300).

Is it a totally new model or a refresh? The only think I can think of is the 2016 Dodge Avenger.
