Ford has got in it's quarterly profit what Chrysler might or might not even get this year in terms of profit!
2 wrongs don't make a right I know this is a global economy but it's disappointing how we don't stand up to China.

My point exactly. It's not up to Chrysler to make the fight and I get that. They are doing what they need to in order to be competitive given the current playing field. I just wish our government would do something about it.

At one time, Jeep was the best selling US brand in China. If memory serves, China damn near took over the Jeep plant and descretion being the better part of valor, Jeep ceased production.

Romney took info off the wire services that was incorrect and later clarified the mistake. Quite frankly, I saw it on the AUTOWEEK website and the way it was written, I thought they were moving Jeep production to China.

I don't want another Bengazi, and Romney already got my vote. Good day, and Good riddance to Obama in 7 days.

Re: Message From Sergio Marchionne Regarding Jeep Production

Not to be that political but People who are driving around in Chrysler vehicles 2009+ and even GM vehicles should thank Obama. Romney wanted to let GM and Chrysler go Bankrupt (Yes Obama did the same but with a viable plan after bankruptcy) without gov't help. He said they would be able to find capital in the private sector. How could they have found $$$ Billions when there wasn't any money to lend or borrow from NO WHERE! I'm a business guy and Romney's plan would have worked but not during the time it was to be implemented. So if you are voting for Romney more power to you but if it was not for OBAMA, we would not be talking about future Jeeps let alone being built in America. We would be in the other forums talking about Jeeps of yesterday. Romney's plan would have liquidated Chrysler and probably some Chinese company would have came along and brought Jeep. Again I say not to be Political and really do not want to debate. I don't have a problem with anyone voting for whoever they choose but you must respect my decision.

Memory doesn't serve... production stopped when Daimler offloaded Chrysler. They kept the company and it is now known as Beijing Benz.

Hmm, if Chrysler could endorse a candidate for President, who would that be?

I don't want another Iraq. And I neither want a flip-flopper nor a "binder full of lies" for President. And yes, I already voted for Obama.

Considering "how terrible" the last 4 years were, it tells you a lot about Mitt that he still can't pull off a clear victory. Heck, he's even behind. Well, lies come back to haunt you - especially if you tell too many in a short period of time..

I grew up in Germany and a party that considers rape to be an ordinary form of conception wouldn't even stand a chance to get above 5% - rightfully so in the 21st century. Those guys should stay out of politics and return to the forrest to hunt witches..

Hard to make a true comparison as there are a lot of ways to spin numbers...

why should I (IE a tax payer) have to pay for a failing company? If Jeep/Chrysler could not stay in business because of bad marketing/products/support, why should the tax payer help them along? Bush started this BS and Obama continued it. Let the company go bankrupt and move on, I see no reason to force american taxpayers to help a private company. I really do not want a chunk of my paycheck to go to these people who run a business into the ground knowing that we will just give them more money to try again.

I won't vote for any of the 2 clowns running for office, I am voting for Mickey Mouse.
