Test Drove A Renegade Today

My local dealer finally got in a Renegade to play with. I went down and drove an Alpine white Renegade Sport 4X4. I must admit, I was quite surprised at how nice this little thing was. Seems to be well built and drove great. I think they will have a hit on their hands here. I have a few people I know that are interested in these, and I have to say I will recommend them both look at a Renegade. Included is a pic of the one I drove.

Looks like they need to work on the brakes. I hate it when I have to bounce over a curb to slow down.

LOL. I didn't park it like that. They had it laid up there I guess to look cute or whatever. (You know how dealers are). It had 4 wheel disc brakes at least. Stopped quite well in my tests. That 2.4L engine actually had more power in this thing than I expected. Only issue I didn't like with this thing was the fricking salt water smell it had inside from where they ship these things over from Italy. You'd think they could make them here somewhere. Maybe one day they will.

Well, Chrysler has had 60 straight months of sales increases, so obviously people like the products they are selling now. They sold 1 million Jeeps worldwide last year. It could be worse. Imagine what would have happened if GM got a hold of them. I think they've done a great job with the Cherokee and Renegade. 175k Cherokee's were sold last year. These Renegades will take off very quickly too I'm sure. My only gripe is the Renegade is not made in USA. That part bugs me.

Or maybe the economy is recovering from it's economic collapse.

Looks like you've invested in a 2015 Grand Cherokee yourself so what's your point in complaining about a company you spent the money on?

There's a difference between a Grand Cherokee, Cherokee and Renegade.

It's a downhill progression.

It's called choice. And the more of that we have the better. And I'm sure after driving a Renegade that many people will buy them. That's the bottom line. Chrysler is making some great products now and I hope the great products keep coming.
