Congratulations Matt. Good to hear someone else that has taken delivery is also very happy.

Have you found all the Easter eggs yet? Also pics... where are the pics?

Tested the lane correction today, took my hands off the wheel but had them less than a cm away, I allowed the car to wander in the lane and it corrected every time (the lanes were clearly marked and there were no other cars close by) after a small distance I got a warning sign and buzzer telling me to put my hands back on the wheel.

Interesting....

Thanks mate

Weather permitting (it's been atrocious) I will take some this weekend - I have found some - but probably not all

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

I found something else today through reading the manual (I've downloaded it and am perusing it whilst I wait) but on page 531 are instructions for manually opening the fuel tank door. It's an emergency release and is located in the back cargo area.

I never noticed this when I was physically looking at the vehicle in the showroom.

An Easter egg is a hidden design/message built into the vehicle. For whimsicalness if you like.

For example, on the Grand Cherokee, stamped onto the headlight assembly is a Jeep Willys on one side and the words 'since 1941' on the other one. You have to get really close to see it.

There are a few on the KL. (but you can Google them if you don't want to go a-hunting)

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Hi all,

I ordered a fully optioned Deep Cherry Red Trailhawk on 5th August, and have been given an estimated delivery date of 5th December. However, I'd like to be able to track its progress more closely.

Could those people tracking their cars on MOTS tell me how long after placing the order that your dealer was able to supply you with VON or VIN?

Cheers,
Julian

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Hey Julian, If you're in Melbourne we'll have matching Cherokees I asked our dealer about a week after signing the contract and he sent me a screenshot with the VIN/VON which I then got tracked via this site, and now can track the ship via the web (another site) - hitting Melbourne on 7th Sept (ordered end of July - it's along wait isn't it ?)
