The girls have a Ford, VW and a Mazda respectively. I think we trained them wrong although number 27 is looking at the Renegade as a replacement for the VW next year. Number 11 is coming along nicely with the Jeep indoctrination.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Just in case you haven't read my posting in the beginning, I had warning lights, service transmission notice and after almost a month, the dealer replaced my transmission (cherokee limited with 250km). It goes well now

Hi all

I spoke with the service guy yesterday - he stated that he is working through multiple alarms one by one and tracing them back through the wiring harness in an attempt to locate the source issue - as yet they do not know what is going on and they have not yet been able to release the park brake - he stated that this type of fault had not been reported before in Australia (I did tell him that this fact was not making me feel special!). Hopefully today they may have a diagnosis.

Matt

Hello people

So it turns out that the park brake module is contained within a compartment at the rear left of the car. Turns out that compartment was full of a liquid that I can only presume is water and had a "Green Growth". Apparently there was another nearby compartment that was the same. The liquid has apparently fried the module. They have ordered a replacement part from America that may get here by the end of the week. No-one it seems is too interested in answering the question of how and why did this happen and am I to experience similar thing in the future - The Service guy at the dealer that I bought the vehicle from did say that he would look into it and get back to me. Can't say that I am experiencing the same level of Customer service as when I was buying the car. I rang Jeep Australia and all they want to do is arrange a "loan vehicle" which is good but doesn't answer any long term questions. Starting to wonder if I have made an epic mistake!

Matt

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Matt,

I can only think that you got one that was a bit NQR, but if they're fixing it and you're getting a loaner and it's all under warranty, I don't think it's too bad a position - so far.
