Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

When I ordered my Trailhawk in Sydney in May, the dealer quoted 4 months for delivery. I have just received an email to say the dealer now has it in his yard - a month earlier than expected!

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Yeah there was a delivery to Australia that began in Melbourne on the 7th (that's when ours came in) - just waiting for the week-out call so we can prepare insurance, finance, etc

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

It's five weeks since I ordered mine. I've been hassling the dealer for a VON or VIN so that I can track its production, but they tell me they don't have that information yet. I don't know at what point the VIN is allocated, but I would have thought that VON (Vehicle Order Number) would be allocated when the order was placed?

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Hello People

Just an update - The part arrived on Thursday (which I thought was pretty good turnaround from the USA) and the service centre had it fixed that afternoon. No real explanation as to how or why but I will have the original dealer go right over it when I check it in for the 3K fluids check. Everything seems to be working perfectly and I'm loving my Jeep again. Thanks,

Matt

I had my VON the day after the KL was ordered......that's when the (US) dealer entered the order w/ Jeep. It shouldn't take THAT much longer from downunder. Something amiss with the dealer IHMO.

Same here Two Dogs. Been 6 weeks for me

Dealer says that he will forward it to me once he gets it.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Update on the Uconnect firmware, I haven't noticed any real issues other than my ongoing "LG phone deops bluetooth after 3 calls" issue.
I have noticed the reversing camera "hangs" longer after the vehicle is taken out of reverse, on the old firmware it changed almost instantly, now I can drive about 10 meters before it goes back to the normal u connect screen.

A couple of longer freeway trips and the economy has improved, I started recording the mileage a few tanks ago so I will post figures once i've got enough data.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Oh look - you go away for a few days and you come back to happiness.

Matt - thrilled you are back on the road again. You must be so relieved and I am quietly surprised at the speed of arrival of the replacement part.

Two Dogs - it was a good 8 weeks before I received the tracking number and subsequent VIN for our KL order. Still hasn't moved though. I dunno where it is. But we wait...

SFlattop - Have you thought about rolling back to your earlier version of Uconnect? The software is robust and will allow you to do so.

Glad to see your economy is coming down. I am currently sitting on 7.7/100 on the CRD Grand at the moment. Amazing what a trip to Canberra can do. It won't stay that way though. I expect to be mid-eights within a week or so. I want to play a game of 'how low can I go' with the KL CRD when it arrives though.

No I'm not unhappy with the update, I think it will be updated again soon.
I'm more interested in updating the maps but I will have to speak to the dealer about that. Looks like my maps are about 18 months old!
