Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

As the guys discussed in your thread 91 or 98 RON For Aussie KL's ? I'll be putting 95 in our Cherokee.

Just found out that our Dealer puts 95 in their Demo Cherokees too.

I've been using 91ron, standard unleaded so far. I would consider using premium unleaded for heavy loads but most of the time there are only 2 adults and a child in the car and I'm not towing.

I'm thinking to do a test between the two - but I would probably do like you Sflattop - if it's not required, i'm not going to need it - plus 98 is about 12c more these days (so is diesel !)

Things that make you go mmmmmmm

This morning I got the dreaded (at least in my world) service park brake warning yet again - fortunately for me I was in a position to drive it straight to a dealership - but this is the third time in less than three months and it is costing me real money. In love with the car and hope they can fix it this time

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

I hope we don't see any of those issues when we get ours on Thursday !

That's bad news, and AFAIK you are the only one with this problem, you clearly have a defect that they cannot isolate. I wonder what the common conditions are, weather, moisture, temperature, vibraiton... or maybe it's just random.

My last car had a problem with the AM radio, hit a bump and the static would make the radio unlistenable, it would stay that way for 12000klms then hit another bump and it would be ok (usually just before a service). It took 3 -4 tries and a new head unit before the service guys found the antenna wire was crimped around a metal bracket.
Something like that can be hard to find, a crimped or crushed wire somewhere in the body or an intermittent sensor.

Wear whatever you want (but the sans-food thing is good). We expect a report this evening.

Matt - how's your TH going? I hate it when a Jeep is down.

Edited: Turns out it's on the Tonsberg which has departed. Due in Port Kembla Nov 1st.

A word of warning, clothes are not important but dont be a nervous goof at pickup.
My agent was showing me over the car and suggested I climb in, as I swung my right knee into the car i cracked it fair in the middle of the headlight switch and it pushed the switch through into the dash... a nervous 15 mins ensued whilst the poor service guy (who said "i haven't done one of these before") was required to drive it out the back and pop the switch back into place whilst a redfaced sflattop gulped down another expresso (making him more nervous) as he contemplated the cost of a new switch assembly.
15 mins later the car came back fixed with no harm done...

as for the clothes, wear some....

being a Limited I would say suave and sophisticated without overdoing it, it's not a trailhawk so jackboots and safari suit are not required
