So Sf - have you ever felt the 'wobble' ? I must admit I did a few times in the first 500k's, it seems to be less prevalent now.

Also, when going from R to D - is anyone noticing a delay ?

Welcome to Jeep Garage Bryan.

What variant of the KL do you have? And also, what other Jeeps have you had in the past?

I'm starting to feel a bit sad that we will probably sell our '07 WK which has been a great vehicle for a number of years, now that our KL is on the high seas so to speak.

We really cannot justify three vehicles (of only which 2 can be under cover) so a bit sad when getting rid of an old Jeep who's only failing was that later models (with all the tech as you say) came out.

cant say i've noticed any wobble, my only issue with the transmission is the flat spot 2nd to 3rd on an uphill

I too have turned off Hill Assist - so waiting to see if that makes a difference - we haven't even cracked 1000km yet !

Bryan, gentle hint - don't type everything in CAPS LOCK

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

to all australian owners of kl cherokee's there is an excellent dash mat for them manafactured by Dashmate in WA it is part number DL 1367 made in black or coal dark grey, they fit perfectly, can recomend for hot climates. Caution mudflaps purchased from USA , front fit ok rear do not fit Australian delivered vehicles, i got caught. Jeep Aus have no listing for rears they tell me.regards Bryan.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Softsand they tell me that the Australian vehicles have trail hawk lower rear flares fitted, the USA vehicles flares are vertualy straight where as the Aussie flares are a lot more flared at the base. Even in Mopar USA they didn't have mudflaps listed for Trail hawks and on EBay they state that the flaps they supply will not fit Trail Hawk, I am waiting on a dealer up here to notify me when Jeep list them here, as i said the front fit perfect. regards Bryan

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Interesting...

The Diesel comes with Active Drive II and the standard mud flaps don't fit.

Jeep Cherokee Mud Flaps, Splash Guards

Not having actually seen one, I would like to see what the difference is...

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Performance update;
I think i've done about 4500klms now, the last 2 weeks I've had a couple of 100 to 200klm highway trips (airport and Geelong). It has drastically changed my economy profile, I'm down to 10.2L/100klms for the life of the car, It surprises me a little as I was sitting around 12 before. Anyhow I've been running a separate log book (app) for the last few tanks and will post data eventually, one thing though there is no historic data for the first fill so the L/100 is a bit skewed until a few tanks have been filled and it starts to average out.

I'm thinking to get the car serviced around December/January and get some of the TSB's done, in particular the transmission TSB, I'll be doing it as a warranty job rather than a general service.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Hi Aussie forum members. After the sudden passing away of my wife a couple of weeks ago I have had to cancel my order for a Deep Cherry Red Trailhawk with Tech Pack and Convenience Pack. It is on the boat now and is scheduled to arrive in Brisbane 29 Oct. The dealers have been very understanding and helpful at this difficult time. If anyone is after a Red Trailhawk, Tech Pack, Convenience Pack and Tow Bar please contact Shanen at Port City Autos, Hervey Bay, Qld.
I also have a set of front and rear mud flaps and front and rear weather shields in light tint available. They were ordered from Jeep World in the US.
Send me a private message if interested.
Bruce
