Mine has been built but is waiting to be loaded too (VIN not showing on the W & W site yet). I was planning on a new year delivery so it had a 2015 compliance plater and that certainly seems to be the expectation !

An update on the KL.

I found my key fob. In a hidden place under the wiring loom/harness of the passenger seat that was only reachable by the tips of my fingers, blindly stumbled across and finally hooked out by my little pinkie finger.

Happiness and dealer visit cancelled.

In other news - 1000kms now after 11 days and sweet as. (Kiwi expression )

Fuel economy has dropped to 7.1 (it started at 11.8 upon delivery) so that is a big decrease over the week and am expecting it to drop a tinsey bit lower and then settle.

Start/Stop function got an absolute work-out today ie: every couple of hundred metres ie: Sydney inner city on a Saturday morning. It worked a treat and never faulted. I lost count of the times it kicked in.

Tip: In a crawling line of traffic with stops and starts, if you do not exceed 7kms/per hour between the stop and start, then Stop/Start will not activate. Read it in the manual a few days ago and tested it today.

Transmission - smooth as smooth.

Auto headlights - Fast and accurate entering shaded/undercover areas and subsequently unshaded areas. This is a problem sometimes on the GC but the KL appears to have this feature tightened/calibrated better.

Remote Start - works well.

Qi wireless charging - Have the iPhone hooked up and works well.

Very very happy with the vehicle.
Hi,

Just wondering...

Have you (or anyone) tried the Active Cruise working so that it slows to zero and starts again. This seems too good to believe - but I am worried about it too :-)

Did you get a Qi cover for the iPhone ? - any advice ?

Thanks...

Marty. So how many rolls of Christmas wrap do you intend purchasing? oh, and don't forget the bow.

No to the ACC question Softsand. The husband is the king of ACC - uses it any chance he gets on the Grand and tried it out on the KL for the first time last week. He said, he did think about testing that ability on one particular run but felt that there was too much traffic at the time and he wasn't comfortable so over rode it when speed got low.

He did suggest though that we test it using both of our vehicles on one of our back roads so we may give that a go sometime over the next week. ie: use the Grand as the slow/stop vehicle in front.

I purchased the Qi card separately from eBay as suggested by Paul Julian prior to delivery and then purchased a cover for the iPhone last week.

The eBay listing is here:

AU Stock QI Wireless Charger Receiver Card Module PAD FOR Iphone 5s 5C 5G White | eBay

I think there is a Qi card/cover that is integrated though.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Samsung make integrated Qi covers for their Galaxy phones and they work really well - the only downside to the charging unit is that because it is out of sight I have lost count of the times that I am sitting in my office only to realise that my phone is still in the charging bracket in the car park!

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

I found a Web Cam at the Port of Melbourne on the internet this morning and aimed it at the MV TARAGO berth.

Hey joezep, I believe that our Jeeps are among this lot

It's like a game of 'Where's Wally' coupled with Orwell's 1984. I see a couple of brave souls breaking out though and ordering RED.

Congrats Marty and Marty's wife.

Great find Marty, any chance you can post the link.

Now it's a waiting game with the port authorities to clear our cars and a phone caller from our dealers. I'm all excited

Webcams then click on to the Swanson Dock camera.

I'll have a look each day to see when they eventually move from their first Australian parking spot

Softsand, I can confirm that the ACC brings the vehicle to a complete stop and kicks off again.

Also, did anyone notice we have our own Cherokee KL Abroad/Export section now. Now we can have separate threads on different things.

Big thanks to Admin for doing this.
