Both figures are not achievable at this stage.

Car magazines tested them with higher figures to mine, which shows that my driving is not too bad in regards to consumption.

Yes, we all know that the official figures are usually not achievable, but this is false advertising in my opinion.
Don't blame Jeep, you should probably just understand the process a bit more.

I'm very surprised by your comment, as you seem to know a lot about Skoda cars.
The Jeep Cherokke is under 2000kg, the stated fuel consumption is way out, the built quality is just average at best.
I would suggest you take a Cherokee Diesel for a extended test ride, so you can compare to the vehicle you own.

I don't expect to much for a car north of $50k, but you might be right, as the same vehicles are less in the country of origin and we pay a premium for a non premium make.

Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

I have achieved claimed fuel consumptions before, or at least came very close to them.
It's a shame that the test cycle is not a real world test, but that's the way it is.

The Diesel was an economic decision, and I might be freaking out at the moment, as petrol prices are diving but we are still getting stung with the high price for cheap Diesel.

I've had a couple of European diesels and neither would have been at their best, economy wise at 7000kms. I noted improvements even up to 15,000kms when they stabilized so you may see some minor betterment yet.

Really?

In my opinion the build quality is above average. Better than BMW X1, better than Mazda CX-5, better than Honda CR-V but not as good as the Volvo XC60.

Yes, I've been keeping my eye on the Tamerlane! I saw her docked in Auckland a few days ago via a webcam. I couldn't find a webcam for Brisbane (nor for Port Kembla). The Port Kembla web site has her scheduled to arrive at 10:00am tomorrow. If it's that late (the site originally said 8:00am), I won't be watching her come in, as I'll be leaving mid-morning to drive down to Bendalong to have Christmas lunch/dinner with some friends who are holidaying there.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

There is an excellent review of the T/H in the latest Aust. Jeep Action magazine (Dec/Jan) that goes on for 8 pages. (Remove pics and it's probably about 4 pages long).

If you're interested, you can purchase a single copy online if you don't subscribe to it already.

Hi Matt
The info on how to fix street names is in Sat nav voice can't pronounce road names

I got mine done and the street names are now fine, but like yoursthey also did a wider uconnect upgrade first and now the sdcard and usb do not work. Back again ! Maybe if they uninstall the upgrades and do them inthe right order it will all work.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Statistics update. I've had my trailhawk for just over 6 months and done 19 fill ups.
Ave consumption 10.9/100
fuel $1140 @ ave price of $1.29
total litres 855.15
KLMS 6851 (actually 8600 but I started taking records after I ran it in a bit)

This matches the dash records of 11L/100klms
