That looks fantastic Julian. Enjoy the trip. We expect a full report upon your return on how the Hawk went.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

I did over 600km today. Shit I love this car! The seats are very comfortable. I was expecting that I'd miss having a footrest, but found I didn't really notice it. It's very quiet, but nevertheless a nice throaty roar from the V6 is audible when you put your boot into it! It handled the occasional twisty sections of road on the Princes Highway quite well. The Princes Highway isn't conducive to cruise control, let alone adaptive cruise control, so I've yet to try that.

The voice recognition for playing media, navigation, and climate control worked great. I'm used to windscreen washers that spray just a couple of jets of water onto the screen; I was quite surprised when I first used them on the Jeep, as they kinda mist most of the windscreen!

I've not noticed any "wobble", nor harsh gear changes, nor "surging" on downshifts, that some of our American friends have reported? I'll be hitting some minor and gravel roads tomorrow, and will report back tomorrow evening.

Julian

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

To couch an understatement - 'It's not too bad is it'.

So good to hear your first impressions Julian.

What do you have your Lane Sense Warning and Strength settings set to? I changed mine the other day to see what it does under different settings so I set:

- Lanesense Warning - Early
- Lanesense Strength - High

It's really weird to feel the steering wheel move under your hand as you drive along. It really does want to keep centre lane and it's a lot stronger (the input from the vehicle that is) than what I was anticipating.
