Mate, it's a contentious issue; 91 v 95.

If you research the USA KL Forums (here at JeepGarage) you'll see a lot of interesting info where you can compare their (USA) Fuel ratings to ours.

I know that the KL will run on 91, but I'm prepared to pay a little extra for the cleaner fuel (95) that "may" offer better fuel consumption........

Anyhow, all I can say is that we use 95 and I accept the fuel economy as good (for a V6 petrol), and our KL drives very powerfully and smooth too

PS: I'd buy an SRT in a heartbeat, so you can see where my lack of focus upon fuel price is

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Thanks for that!

I think I'll stick with 95 RON and not worry about 91 RON. I just wanted to be sure, that in a pinch, 91RON would be OK.

Just have to get used to the higher fuel consumption of this car (bigger engine and no turbo) but cheaper fuel (and not the cheapest!)

Mmmmm, SRT......

Congrats Locky! What colour? Petrol or diesel?

My tip is to drive it All the electronic gadgets can be overwhelming, so don't try too much in 1 go

Went with black :-) can't go wrong with black :-) I'm going to get the wheels powder coated to black it all out and I purchased a petrol 3.2

I'm very excited I loved test driving it and in July I'm driving from the central coast (1hr north of Sydney) to Melbourne so I'm hoping there aren't any delays and have the car by then

Congratulations Locky! Very exciting - a bit like waiting for Christmas when you were a kid.

We need pics of course when you have taken delivery otherwise, as the saying goes... it didn't happen.

Of course!

Am I correct in assuming that the car will come fully updated when I receive it from the dealership. By that I mean u connect will be updatedupdated, but mainly I'm more interested in the 9 transmission, am I correct in assuming that the transmission will come updated?

My uconnect was not updated, but I did that one myself (Pretty easy) I checked on all the other recalls on the link provided here in this forum, and everything that needed to be done was already done.

On another note, went for a drive down to Wollongong and back today, and my fuel consumption dropped down to the 11s

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Hey guys
Need your help

Contacted the dealership today to see how the car is progressing and I got some bad news, I ordered the car with luxury group and they are saying that the car is a MY15 plated and won't have that option.
When I signed for the car the salesman said that the luxury group now comes standard wtf?! Is any of this true?

Yes, unfortunately. They discontinued the Lux pack option a little while ago. What variant did you order?
