Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

So no vented seats. I can't remember what else was included in the Lux option. We didn't order it because we have the vented seats on our Grand, but only ever used it once or twice so far, so thought it was a bit of waste of money when it came to ordering the KL.

On a brighter note, you now have storage under the front passenger seat because this was where the vented fans went.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Ok so they can get me a MY14 played one with all the options in either anvil or billet silver or should I just leave the luxury group and get a MY15 in black without the luxury group?

What's the difference between MY14 and MY15 other than this luxury group?

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

If I were you and had this choice, I would take the MY15 without the Lux pack purely because of the reported transmission issues that were evident in the MY14. And whilst a lot of MY14 owners don't have the issue, a lot have and are having reflashes done to the transmission. (US owners - there is/was one Aust owner on this site that took delivery of an MY14 and he's now pleased to get rid of it. He had the trans issue).

Locky, honestly, the vented seats are not something that you will miss.

Take the MY15. That is what I would do.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Oh yes, that's right - the Lux pack had the memory seats.

What is the build date of the MY14? The sticker is on the inside front passenger door (from memory). MM/DD/HH

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Trading memory and vented seats for a hidden cubby. Did the passenger seat have lumbar support as well in the luxury group? It's not there for the MY15 version.

If the memory seats are important, then get them to look for an MY 14. Otherwise, I don't think it's too much to lose.

Good luck Locky!

No, trading memory and vented seats for a hidden cubby and a good transmission.

I'll take a sorted tranny over seat 'bells and whistles' any day. It's a 50/50 with regards to the MY14 and its transmission.

My MY15 was built on 11 Sept 2014. That makes this MY14 that Locky is being offered older than that and we are already in June. It is nearly a year old then.

I'd take the MY15 over the MY14 too, but Locky's missus might think otherwise

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Yeah well, I'll have a chat with her.

Even with memory seats (like we have on the Grand - Memory 1 for me and Memory 2 for him), I still adjust the seat forward or aft depending on whether I'm wearing ballet flats or heels or boots or whatever regardless of where I set the memory in the first instance. You blokes don't but we do.

The KL has electric adjustment so its no drama to hop in and adjust the seat forward or aft, up down or all around, depending on where you want it on a particular day. I also sometimes adjust when I'm driving - it's a simple hand down on the button/s.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Sweet I think you guys have sold me on getting the MY15, I'm gonna try to get some sort of compensation from being screwed around by this as I went in telling them that we had to have a car with the memory seats as that's what the missus wants. And its stipulated on the contract that it will cone with that. Missues Is not happy

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

If they charged you for the luxury pack, you better be getting a refund of that cost!
