Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

No dramas.

Still, I'd go with MY15. Maybe MY15 will be a better sell / trade in years to come compared to MY14.

Excellent. So it must be one of the very last export builds with the Lux pack. That would keep the wife happy.

Are you going to go for that one?

Enjoy the new ride Locky, I too have the lux pack. One feature that was not on by default was when you turn of the car the seat goes back for easy exit. To turn it on go to settings in Uconnect and tick the box.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Hey Guys

Good news I picked it up today!

No joke but when i arrived they didnt even have the car ready i had to wait around an hour for the them to get it all done. Not impressed considering they had the car since tuesday.

Loving the car it just keep surprising me with little things here and there

I have a few questions though

1. I cant find an option to turn on the heated steering wheel. Does this mean i don't have it?

2. When driving it i noticed it would be in the wrong gear, do you think this could be the transmission issues, i think im gonna put it down to it having only 70kms on it

3. How do i turn on the auto windscreen wipers?

4. i tried using the auto park do no avail am i doing something wrong?

here is a photo

Imgur

I'm thinking of getting the wheels powder coated to a black what do you guys think

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Congrats Locky. Looks great.

Heated steering wheel - if you have it, the setting is under the Climate key on the main Uconnect screen.

Gear selection. The KL has ERS (Electronic Range Select) which when you flip the shifter to the left you select the highest range that it can move through. So if you select 8, then it will move through 1-8 as it sees fit. However, you will not see the gear change as it moves through its shifting unless you shift it back and forth again. So what you are experiencing is normal ie: you know its shifting but you can't see the shift number change.

I usually leave it in Drive now and just let it do its thing.

Rain-sensing wipers. It's at the end of the right hand stalk. You can rotate it to 4 different positions - #4 being the most sensitive.

Park assistance: Need more info about what you are doing exactly. Pages 139-144 explains its operation in detail.
