Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Agree that leather seats are rather firm as kids and wife complain sore bum in long haul drive. It's a big car but not for a big family as family holiday luggages squeezed all the way to car ceiling, lucky it has reversing camera. Best fuel economy (below 7L) can be achieved at speed 80-90km/h.

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

I am finding the seats a bit too firm when on a long trip, has anyone out there fitted lambs wool seat covers to their GC?
I am thinking of getting a quality set that is a custom fit, not the 'Super Cheap' type.

A seat cover will have negative impact on heated/ventilated seat function

Good point, but I don't have the ventilated seat function, but the wife may miss the heated seat even though we don't use it a lot as Qld winters are not too long in duration.
When Chrysler / Jeep do a rework on this model they need to look at some improvements to seating comfort, our Nissan Maxima which also has leather seating is very comfortable on long trips.

Is there a winter in QLD, LOL. Because of firm seat causing sore bums, the family except for me doesn't like long trip, I mean a couple of hrs, in the car. Disappointing.

Brisbane hit 2C last week over night.....

Is this seat issue with the Cherokee or Grand Cherokee?

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

I'd be curious to see when we get the 2015 models that the US is now starting to produce, esp if you order now and wait 6 months (as I've been told) - as far as I know, the US plant in Toledo has already switched to 2015 builds (start/stop is in the system I believe).

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

Are you considering ordering a CRD Limited PJ? And is that why you have been given a 6 month wait time?

Re: Australian MY14 KL Cherokee thread

No - Limited in Cherry Red Pearl with Tech and Convenience packs - which according to current stocks has to be ordered - and it takes 3 months alone on the ship let alone all the other transport !
