Glad to see this is back on the forum! Had a great experience when I bought my ordered 2014 Summit in April 2014 from Koons via the DC Group Buy. Thanks again and also thanks again to all who had arranged it the first time too! My purchase - like hundreds of other group buy buyers - was smooth and straight forward. It was such a great deal compared to my local market that I flew from Miami Beach to pick up my new GC. Great experience and great dealership all around.
One caveat, if you live in a state that doesn't have a front license plate and you don't want the front plate bracket installed on your new GC, be sure to tell them in advance to NOT install it as most dealers in Virginia install them during dealer prep since Virginia has a front license plate requirement. You might want to do a follow up reminder too as you track your new GC to the dealership. Dealerships that have a lot of out of state buyers should just install the front license plate bracket upon sale instead of during dealer prep since it only take two minutes to install ... that's my 2¢.
Thanks so much for all of the love guys!! It's great to be back...
I'll do 5% under invoice on Altitude, High Altitude, and Hard Rocks. Srt8/Hellcats/Lifted(Custom) Wranglers are excluded at this point from the group buy. I'll certainly do the best I can on those prices but it's just not something I can do right now.
Those of you who are familiar with us know we are competitive across the board
I would like the 75th anniversary Limited with a V8 HEMI, is there any way you can do that? It is offered in Canada with that option, are you able to "import" a Canadian build?
It's showing as an available option when I build it... does not look like there would be a need to import from Canada, lol. Short answer - no I can't import cars from Canada that's against Chrysler rules.
Just wanted to let you guys know how my experience on purchasing a 2015 Durango Limited with Blacktop package from Erica at Koons went. First off, Erica was straightforward with the numbers. I was very particular with what model, package, and color I wanted. She did not have this vehicle on the lot, but was able to find me the exact Durango I wanted within a few days. I drove down early on Superbowl Sunday from Jersey with my existing leased Grand Cherokee I was trading in. When I pulled up my Durango was freshly cleaned and sitting out front. This place is extremely nice. They had 3 Vipers sitting in the showroom. Anyway, I Walked in and met with Erica for a few minutes, went over the trade and started the paperwork. From the time I walked in and walked out including paperwork and trading in the lease took all of about an hour. This was by far the easiest and best experience I've had with a dealership. BTW I have a Jeep/Dodge dealership 5 minutes from me and I'd rather drive to Koons then deal with my dealership. I want to thank Erica and Koons for the easy process and great deal on my Durango.
Thanks bmidd31 for the order, I appreciate you giving us the opportunity. I understand that Koons is not always the closest dealership. I also understand that it's easy for me to provide the invoice and pricing for people to take to their local dealerships in hopes that they will come close to the price the Group Buy offers.
Koons is more than just a price, it's an experience. I do my best to make sure we have the best price and that the customer service is exceptional. I promise you, even though your local dealership may be closer in distance.... You'll spend more time and effort with them than you will making the trip to see my smiling face
I ordered a Limited 75th earlier this month from Erica. I said it on my '14 when I got it from them way back when the group buy first started and I'll say it again...they make it way too easy to spend money Thanks Erica!
You can take Amtrak or other trains into DC to Union Station from wherever and then take the Metro Silver line out to Tysons at this point if you want to use public transportation nearly "all the way". The Silver line is new; Orange goes to Vienna, and that's not far, either, albeit a pickup would be required.
Glad to see Koons and Jeep Garage ironed out an agreement. The original DC Group Buy Glad to see Koons and Jeep Garage ironed out an agreement, with the dealership officially becoming an official JG vendor in January 2016. The original DC Metro Group Buy truly was a success. To Scott and the JG team, thanks for putting together a great online community that enabled roughly 400 people to benefit from the 2013 deal we negotiated after all the Milous/Marlon/Chevyboy_711 etc hints started coming to light on the mid-cycle refresh of the WK(2).
H/t Only1Tobin, silvermax04 and a number of others that helped us originally arrive at the incredible 7% below invoice rate.
To the folks at Koons, especially Nader (who unfortunately has since left the dealership) and Thomas, you both were always straight up with us -- you guys honored the deal and those of us that worked with you to pick up our Jeeps were impressed by how good the experience was. I don't remember how many post-purchase reviews said something like "Easiest buying experience ever" and "No BS. Why can't it always be so simple?" (@Scottina06 -- any chance at unlocking the original thread?)
Erica, I hope the JG community can once again enjoy the experience we've grown to know since our first orders were place in March 2013. A meet and greet sounds like a worthy effort.

Hard to believe it has been 3 years already isn't it BigWave, time flies. Group buy was a little bumpy at the start but glad we got it all worked out it has been a great program for all. I know it was in the hundreds of people that took advantage of it when Nader was doing it and im sure it has many more now. Hope all is well with you.
