Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

Dealer experiences are all over the place. My first dealership experience was awful. My SRT was given back to me with grease on the center console, armrest, floor mats. After my oil change at my new dealership the floor mats were covered with paper mats and the seat covered in plastic before it was moved. The waiting area was very clean and had coffee, water, and cookies laid out. Loaner cars are available for warranty work or can be rented for $35 per day for none warranty work. After my warranty work/oil change my SRT was delivered back to me hand washed and vacuumed out paper mats and seat covered were removed before I got in. Overall I was very satisfied considering I didn't even buy the vehicle from them. My next Chrysler will be though.

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

As much as I love my SRT8, and all my Grand Cherokees for that matter, most of models I've owned have had a relatively serious reliability problem. This has aways been my main issue with Chrysler, and now Fiat. Even though the build quality has improved immensely over the years, the long term reliability still leaves a lot to be desired.

Today, I read about the latest recall - "That condition could cause the component to break or could cause rear-end instability and/or reduced braking power.".

Kudos to Jeep for at least finding the problem, but can you imagine what effect faulty parts could have driving a 700+ HP GC, at speed? IMHO, Fiat/Jeep better improve their reliability testing, before the TrackHawk hits the road.

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

price wise.... i am saying that trackhawk will be price at $80k... everyone got all worried that the price for the challenger and chargers when they were announced was going to be like 85K.... and we are seeing same price tags as a SRT.... that doesnt take into effect the mark up on a dealer.... but most of us have owned 1-3 SRT before... so i always go to the same salesmen and he treats me right... the trackhawk wont and cant be a 90K car.... FCA needs to better alot more things in my eyes before they can offer a true 100K car (rough cost).. just my opinion... not too sure if people agree but...

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

I just don't see them giving us that much of a deal. When an SRT can sticker around $75k. A Trackhawk would be a steal at $80k. I think they are going to shoot higher. Again just MHO.

ya i definitely hear ya but my thought is that at the end of the day its still a jeep... and FCA hasnt earned the right yet to charger that much on a vehicle... along with the price tag comes other things... service.. reliability of the car... they arent going to make the interior omg wow.... its only going to be minor cosmetics and a bigger motor...

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

But they can charge more, and they will. No way they give a $5k bump over the 6.4. $89,995.00 is my guess. And people will pay that for every one they make. I know what I've got into mine at this point, and a 90k price point isn't unrealistic. Just my opinion.

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

Maybe, but I didn't pay that much attention to the speculation on the cars. 392 jump to the HC on each is 13-16k with regards to MSRP. I expect it will be something very similar, if not even more with the Jeep. It is already the most expensive outside of the Viper, and it is also the best selling.

Look, I hope you're right, but I don't see FCA only charging any less of a premium for a HC-powered Jeep vs the cars. If they do, I'll take a bath on mine (already will if I ever sell it). So will everyone else with a '14 or '15.

All said and done right now out the door on even a MSRP Challenger or Charger Hellcat you are looking at anywhere between $66,000 and $77,000 depending on which car and the options. No one thought that Dodge would have trouble filling these orders, and as we can see, they grossly mismanaged that estimate. They can't meet demand for a $65k-75k car!!! Next year, Challenger and Charger Hellcat production has already been reprogrammed to produce DOUBLE what was planned. Hasn't been listed yet as they don't want to upset the apple cart now, but you can be damn sure there will be a price increase on them by FCA.

With that said, no way the Trackhawk Hellcat is only $8k more than the SRT. They have consistently raised the price on the SRT because they are still selling at the highest rate of any SRT. Considering the added cost of the Hellcat components, and more-so the popularity and sales of the Challenger/Charger Hellcats, the price will definitely be up there. If you price the model too close to the SRT then no one buys the SRT model.

Precisely why I said from the beginning there should be one. Having two SRT Jeeps is stupid and it pisses me off. I don't like to have the middle model on anything. If I can't afford an E63 you won't see me driving an E550 or God forbid E320 to substitute. I'd sooner go buy a tricked out Infiniti.
