A big part of the attraction to the Hellcat Jeep, for me, is that it's NOT a German luxury car. I'm a car guy, so I appreciate all cool cars, German included. However, the fact that it's "just a Jeep" makes it more attractive to me. Kinda like Farm Truck on Street Outlaws. I love my '14 JGC SRT, and the idea of a Hellcat version has a cool factor through the roof, in my opinion. And like a lot of cool stuff, it comes at a premium.

For the record my 2004 WJ was driven for 8 years with hardly any issues...actually that ownership experience is what convinced me to take a look at Jeep again when I needed to move back into an SUV.

I freely admit that there are many folks that have issues with German cars beyond what I experienced. Customers buying a luxury brand also tend to be extremely critical of issues, much like you start to find in Jeep customers once prices for top trims climb into the 70's and beyond.
Whoa whoa whoa dude..yes i like jeeps but.i also like other vehicles. I was just saying that they arent complete pieces of shit like u guys make them out to be. The luxuries have their problems too. Like i said
..theres not a lot of difference between first place and last place.

I will totally agree with that statement. A lot of it will come down to how the brand treats you when you have problems too...I've been very lucky to have a family friend in FCA and a great local service manager or the recent experiences I've had would have been way worse.

It's her (and my) first vehicle that cost this much. She kinda got snobby about it, I had to drill it into her head that IT'S JUST A CAR! I'd feel the same about a HC.
I feel you. I buy my cars to drive them. But i would say this drive your srt less to save money on maintenance. The more you drive it the more you wear it down. I used drive my 07 everywhere and spent alot of money maintaining her.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Ironically this is my first American car, for the past 15 years or so I've had several bmws and one Audi, all of which were awesome cars. I do think we put the Germans on a pedestal a little, some of it is warranted and some of it isn't. Personally I love my jeep, and have zero desire for one of the German "fast suv's". The jeep is masculine. Mean. Raw. It gets comments literally every time I drive it and puts about the biggest smile on my face. Plus I think the German suv's are a little bit of girly man cars, although I'm sure the new x5m is going to be a beast. Cayenne does absolutely zero for me, whether it be base or the turbo model. Nice interior but it's a soccer mom car to me.

I typically bore with cars after about 1.5 years or so (bad I know) but with this I haven't even found myself car shopping. Love love love it. Do wish a few materials were a little more high end, but my car has been pretty much bulletproof which is important to me. Happy camper here!

I do understand that. We're not planing multiple cross country trips lol. But I'm not going to let the mileage stop me from going to my brother's house only just across town every now and then

Apart from the engine/gearbox, has any other info come to light? Suspension changes, brake upgrades, interior differences, wheels, etc.?
