Current HCs are approx. $15k higher than SRT model. Take the average Jeep SRT being about $72k MSRP and you are looking at $87k.

Your number right now should be estimated at $90k+ before trade in figured into the deal. That will be at MSRP to include an option or three, fees/tax/reg, and destination, chances of Not paying a markup from a dealer are less than 10% probably.

Jeep's going to need a little extra modification to it because of its size compared to the Challenger and Charger models. Could effect price more.

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

Predict the base MSRP $87-89K. A few lucky souls will get them at sticker by ordering early from good dealers, the rest will be looking at ADM...Same story as with the chal/charge.

Yeah that came off more repetitive than I intended, sorry. I guess I was more trying to make the point that $90K base price wiuld have a psychological impact FCA might want to avoid, which would be a reason they'll want to stay just under that.

I agree it will be just under it for some Freudian mind games shit, but with all of the damn fees to buy a car nowadays you'll easily be over $90k unless you have a PAID OFF trade. And if your trade is paid off, it's going to need to be a clean vehicle that held a lot of its value to still clear a balance/loan of $60k+

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

I've made the decision I will not be upgrading. I will wait until there is a full Jeep redesign and if they put the 6.2SC in that, then I will decide. If it has an Alpha platform and/or has any design cues from the current Cherokee then I will jump ship. Probably into next gen Cayenne Turbo. I refuse to pay $90k for any Jeep, no matter how fast. They will have to step build quality up a lot, and even more importantly dealer service, before I drop that on a USA vehicle. I love my SRT and feel, purchased at invoice or less, that it is priced right on the money for what you get.

Anyways, just my reaction to the situation.

I'm fine with the build quality, but agree with your other point, the dealer network and service. Particularly after the shit I went through with my Hellcat order/purchase. I hate to sound needy or elitist.....but when I bring 2 of my cars in to your dealership, which happen to fall into being 2 of the 3 most expensive the brand makes, I expect to be treated special. I don't expect to be greeted, spoken to, and thrown in a "holding cell" (or car-less if repair takes a day or more) like I rolled in with a $17,000 Dodge Dart (no disrespect to those owners, they buy for their reasons).

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

Amen to the last post

It took me a year to get a service guy who understood that I wasn't looking for anything more than the level of service to match the value of the car... You can treat me like everyone else ... but you had best do you best work and double check it and make sure you do everything you can... Having trained reps is huge... This isn't a 2005 Dodge Ram work truck (again nothing against it... ) but the expectations are different

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk

I'm quite happy with my build quality. It is definitely $65k build quality. It is nowhere near $90k build quality IMHO, but that's another issue.

On the service, I also expect special treatment. I do not want a hunchback sweeping the floors in front of me as I walk, or people kneeling and kissing my fingers when I arrive. However, I do expect a dedicated Service Adviser that only services the higher end dealership purchases. What matrix determines a "higher end purchase" is up for debate. Rental cars are a must (w/out purchase of max care) as are appointments. First come first serve is very impractical for me.
