I bet it's for the new model changeover.

Given the completely laughable way they've handled the unexpected order volume for Challenger/Charger HC's, with the Jeep SRT being the largest selling SRT model by far, I would expect a botched rollout like the world has never seen unless they have substantially stepped up their supply chain game.

Either that or wait to see $90K Jeeps on dealer showrooms behind glass with $50K markups. No thanks.

For that money I'll take a 2012 build the Nag 1 Transmission out put a 426 with a blower and stomp everything. and still have 30 k left.

Used 2012 40k? put 40k into motor/trans etc. Bullet proof Street Slayer. still cheaper..

running max power with RWD would be the dumbest thing they could do IMO. everybody knows AWD makes more sense when putting more power down...AWD+power=quick

Agreed 100% have no regrets not waiting for the MY14s when I purchased my 2013. $40k would get you a fully forged, monster twin turbo motor with 1000+ hp capable drivetrain... but wouldn't come with a warranty that you will have to fight tooth and nail for any claim

I'd be hard pressed to think your sources provided you better "secrets" than mine. I've been involved with the "Hellcat Mess" for months and not afraid to take things up the chain........
I certainly am holding my breath, but in the meantime, I'll be switching off between the 2014 Jeep SRT and my new Hellcat Challenger. If the Hellcat Jeep becomes available, I'll have a lot more room in my garage and some walk around cash in my pocket.

Can't you get those parked a little closer?

Re: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk w/6.2l SC???

Here is my guess on how things will play out.

"If" there is another Hellcat to be announced this year, my guess would be the 300. Why not let that model go out with a bang. Spy shots have already been shot of the 2016 300SRT, a Hellcat version could not be really anymore work since they already have the Charger Hellcat.

In true Chrysler fashion, they will hold on to the Hellcat for Jeep. It won't come to the Jeep until the next model, which means 2019 MY. By then all the other MFG (BMW, Porsche, Merc, Range Rover) will have plenty of time to meet and even exceed the power of the Hellcat engine.

Jeep will then be releasing yet again, an underpowered Hellcat compared to it's competitors.
