I've owned plenty of high end BMW's and MB's and still currently own one of them and I've only needed the annual included maintenance. Regardless jeep whether it's a Laredo or a hellcat... It's still just a Jeep and that's build quality /quality control and dealers and service's fault throughout the majority of the country. Doesn't get old if you buy new and they give you new rides each time you go in for service BMW's are covered for 4 years /50k included in the purchase price (2017 is changing to 3yrs which is why I stuck with a 2016 when buying 2 months ago)

Love my jeep but it will never compare or have the status and customer service of a luxury brand.

I owned one of the first 2006 SRTs and a 2008 335i with sports package. The BMW was nothing compared to the SRT. nothing...

The SRT to this day is the best vehicle I have ever owned as far as fun factor and utility. I never had a problem with it and was treated as a premium vehicle owner at my jeep dealership. I'd rather pay $90K for a Hellcat Jeep basically fully loaded then $100-110K for a X5M. Not even a second thought. I find the BMW interior to be outdated IMO. Also, the IDrive system sux compared to UConnect.

the problem is your comparing BMW's lowest model at the time to jeeps highest...

I'm talking about more luxury models. And today there is no comparison on the level of materials used or the quality. You don't see BMW's leather dashs bubbling or paint bubbling/rusting due to defects in manufacturing. You seriously can't argue the quality difference.

Actually, the GC Overland was Jeeps highest model at the time, not the SRT and BMWs lowest model at the time was the 1 series.

I did see my iDrive system crash during the time I owned my 335i

Re: After much deliberation I am going to put the SRT order on hold.....

We all experienced mediocre (at best) customer service at a Jeep dealership, 100K for a Jeep is just ludicrous, no matter if it had 1000HP....
That of course, is just my opinion......

Now glowingghoul...chill.

But yeah...if that's the reason to have a RR....count me out. Plus my jeep.dealer treats me like a king...and the closest RR dealer is 120 miles away.

Look, I'm really getting sick of these low IQ jerkoffs comparing apples to oranges, vehicles that cost 50% to 100% more for performance within 5% of the SRT, and then using their faulty, ill informed logic to shit on Jeep.

It's like the jackasses who come here to "brag" about dumping their jeeps. You're on a jeep enthusiast board. Take a snarky swipe at the brand and then speak breathlessly about some competitor who's flaws you conveniently can't see, ok, just don't whine about having to retreat to your safe space when you get a vigorous response.

See folks, this is exactly what I was referring to, absolute BS used to bash Jeep. Search "BMW dash bubbling warranty". Hundreds of examples come up:

Here's a nice warranty claim for a peeling BMW dash:

Dashboard leather peeling? - BMW M5 Forum and M6 Forums

Trim falling off everywhere, another warranty claim:

Interior trim is peeling off (PICS). What can I do about it!?

Here's a nice thread where BMW owners wonder whether the interior soft trim beginning to peel off is normal at the first, second, or third year of ownership.

Interior Peeling?? - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums

Did you say something about how we "don't hear" about BMW defective paint?

Defective Paint From Factory - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums

Again, hundreds of similar examples with a simple google search.

You are obviously incapable of seeing beyond a logo.

I hear they have a really, really nice cappuccino machine in the service department waiting room:

My BMW leaked literally from day one, rain water in the driver door cubby and then the sun roof drain was blocked causing water too run down into the foot well. BMW dealerships didn't impress me either. After a routine service "oil change" I returned home and popped the hood just to make sure everything was ok "no leaks and what not" and to my surprise there was a half eat'n hot dog sitting on the manifold. To be short I had problems at 2 separate BMW dealerships. I wasn't impressed. My jeep dealership treats me like a king also!

Wow what's up ur ass?

I didn't dump my jeep I still own my 2015. Just a true comparison of my 15 years of jeep and bmw ownership simultaneously and in my area every jeep dealership is a ****ing dump and literally get typical treatment of any corner auto shop.

Look I have no one to prove anything to all my jeeps to this day have shit paint quality compared to German cars, cheap interior materials, and no loaner car programs, just pick up and drop off in some shitbox 2000 dodge caravan. It's pathetic compared to the experience at the BMW dealerships.

Chrome plastic wheel covers and seat belts holding the dashboard to the firewall it's a jeep thing...

I still love my jeep but stop pretending it's anywhere near German engineering and quality standards.

My 1 year old jeep has paint bubbles on the lift gate and rust spots / pitting throughout the whole car!

Re: After much deliberation I am going to put the SRT order on hold.....

Guys, can we agree to a have a civilized conversation about the upcoming Trackhawk?
No need to trash anyone who doesn't agree with your opinions, its an open forum and name calling is just puerile.
I love my SRT, in fact I am ordering a '17 unless the I can buy the trackhawk at MSRP..... the jeep service I received is awful, others experiences may vary depending on where you live. In a rural area they may treat you like a king, in a metropolitan area you are just one of the many therefore they don't care.......
