I meant Hellcat.... But even at $100k is a better deal then the 2016 X5M at $110k. Due to the main fact you get more standard equipment in the Jeep then in the BMW. 550hp vs 707 (rumored to be 600hp for Jeep 👎🏽 ). But for me it's the customer service I will not spend $100k with a company that I have to fight with to get a loaner when they keep my car, a company that does not hand wash my car when I get any type of service. For $72k on my SRT I should have been getting that kind of service. That's why I would never spend that kind of money with Jeep. In 2012 my wife has a 2007 328xi I took that old car to BMW to service something I couldn't figure out myself, when I picked it up her car it was fixed and completely detailed. 😐

Completely agree..... every time I take my Carrera S in for service, I drive away in a brand new Cayenne for a couple of days at no charge.....
The only service I received from my Jeep dealer when I took my SRT in was a ride back to the office with a 85 y.o. driver in a beat up Chrysler minivan.....

I agree if jeep is going to expect to be a Premium brand they need to learn from one.

Must be dealer to Dealer, I've always gotten a courtesy loaner when ever my SRT is at the dealer for anything. Nothing special basically base model of any Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler product.

That right there is my story. $73K SRT for me and $1,500 purse for her. Fair deal I would say.

I think the 2012-13 SRTs look really dated. Especially the rearend and the interior is terrible. I really like the 14+ though but an X5M is no comparison. Other than the fact it's about $40k more expensive.

Why not just 50i? I'm pretty sure it puts down the same numbers as the SRT.

X5 xDrive50i M Sport and call it a day. That's my vote anyways. But maybe I'm partial since I just ordered a 35i M Sport lol

Yup, the new 2014+ 50i's are actually faster in a straight line.

I agree, jeep SRT faster off line but once turbos kick in you will get walked, quarter mile goes to 50i. I will still choose SRT over x5m purely because it is more "american" of a car....

I think the ride is very different. See how you like to drive over a bad potholed road in both. The BMW has the option of being more forgiving. If that level of comfort is to your - or your wife's liking - take it into consideration.

In ~14 months you'll have the Trackhawk Hellcat as an option.

Re: I haven't been around this forum for a while, but I need your input........

I am currently shopping for a performance SUV. My daily driver is a lightly modified 335i (400hp) so I started my research with the X5M. It didn't take long to cross it off the list due to the apprehension of forum members about the S63/S63tu twin-turbo 4.4L V8 engine. The N63 (non-M version) was the subject of a recent BMW 'customer care campaign' in which all vehicles with this engine were brought in for extensive inspection and many received a truckload of new parts such as timing chains, injectors, fuel rails, etc. Also the oil change interval was reduced to 10k miles and dealers were instructed to replace the battery at every oil change. The S63 version of this engine shares many of the parts but received no 'customer care campaign.' Most over at bimmerpost.com are of the opinion that the 'M' division of BMW simply cannot afford such an expensive campaign. Read through the X5 & X5M subforums over there to form an educated opinion before buying.

My BMW dealer would definitely screw me given the chance (another story) so I will not give them the chance. I'm trying to decide between the SRT and a Cayenne but the value equation is solidly in favor of the SRT, especially considering the Chrysler Maximum Care warranty.
